Default Generation Z design styles

Hello! I've been asked to design cards that would appeal to Generation Z, but I'm a baby boomer and I don't know what design/styles they like. I would really appreciate any suggestions and would love samples to get a better idea. Thanks so so much!!

Gender neutral, geometrics, neutral-ish tones with a pop of color, unique font. That is what I've gathered from things like phone cases and cards targeted to that age group.
Sounds like a fun assignment.

So interesting! Here are some highlights from an article about graphic design for Gen Z, linked below:

--your designs should feel like something that comes from a close friend, not a nameless company. Incorporate casual, everyday language, and even slang into your projects.

--Gen Z lives for color. “Bright, colorful surprises can grab their attention early and keep it.”

--When designing for this age group, anything and everything goes. Embrace trends like neon gradients and mixed patterns. Be fearless as you experiment with new color combinations and unexpected partnerships in texture and hue. If it catches your eye and makes you look twice, it will do the same for Gen Z.

--Avoid cartoonish figures and stereotypically young images like rainbows and suns with fluffy clouds. If you find yourself thinking, “I chose this element because young kids like this,” think twice.

I would look to popular stationery companies, like Rifle Paper Company, for examples. A loose, hand drawn style paired with hand-lettered looking sentiments.

I would suggest Visible Image is a company whose stamps are suitable for this age group.

I just bought my first Visible Image set - hopefully it will arrive with tomorrow’s mail! I’m probably weird though, I’m sure most people buy this set for the unicorn - I wanted the beautiful moon! They do have lots of things that would be good for teens and 20s folk, the people in their silhouette images have great attitude!

I think it depends on the person themselves, & not this generic type of pegging that people try to do, basically stereotyping. Our daughter is in her twenties & she likes cute, cards with bold letters, florals, & modern style cards, but she REALLY liked just plain old Monograms when I did them for her. And of course, cards with images of things she likes, music & running, books, etc. ;)

My 20 something son mentioned in a conversation this week that Astrology/the Zodiac is very big in his age group right now.
