I know lots of challenge players leave comments for other people playing those challenges here at SCS which is great. For non-challenge cards, I’ve set myself a little target this year - if I upload to the gallery, I’m aiming to leave at least five comments for other people. Anybody want to join me? Your target could be one or two comments or it could be 20 - entirely depends how much time you can make to spread the love!
I am with you Joanne. I don't even have a gallery and I post comments most days. Never as many as I would like...and I am trying to target the zero comments cards too. I just feel like if someone is taking the time to share, I can take a minute to say job well done if I like it since I learn a lot from the cards-color combos, layouts, work arounds, etc. I really get joy from looking at the gallery and will specifically do it if I am feeling low to cheer me up. Free therapy! LOLOL

I was also making an effort to say something on cards that hadn’t gotten any comments, but I confess that with not being able to just go quickly to the next car after the latest site changes, I’ve given up.
Just a suggestion for making comments, viewing successive cards, etc...
When you are in the gallery thumbnails, open a card you want to view by using shift-click. (on Windows machines) The card opens in a new window, you can view, comment, etc...then close the window. You'll be back at the same place you started. No need to use back-back-back...back-back...etc!
I use Firefox on my Mac and Tree Style Tabs (free version). Then I can right click on an image in the gallery and choose "open in new tab". I will load several of the ones I want to see larger images of or comment on ( I confess to being bad at that). My preferences are set to stay at the current page until I choose to go to the other tabs. I like that better than loading in a whole new window. I took a screenshot image to show how the side tabs look. They indent as you open from the tab above it. I love it.
I haven't been getting any email, notifications about cards being uploaded, or comments made to challenges I am following (Christmas Challenge, for example). I was wondering if no one has been posting any comments at all, so I came here to the forum to see if this was being addressed.
Joanne, I think yours is a GREAT idea. I do try to comment on cards that haven't received any or very few comments, but I don't always keep up as well as I intend to. I'll try to do better!!!
Ok so tech dingbat I am....I sat there awhile thinking shift click? What click? I dont have a button that says click.....LOL and then I realized from another comment mouse click! OMgoodness I would be dangerous if I had a brain....I am writing it down until I do it enough to remember.
Cool! Thanks Fionna! I am going off to click away now!

Oh, good. I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who didn't figure it out right away. And I kept thinking it meant "right click". LOL

It is actually is the right side (for me) if I left click it takes me somewhere I have to up and enter the gallery all over again. Same if I open a window and not a new tab.
