If I choose to listen to music, I either use my IPOD or listen to Pandora (www.pandora.com). My IPOD is set to shuffle, and it has a little bit of everything on it (Jonas Brothers, Songs from Wicked & Phanton of the Opera, Lady GaGa, ColdPlay, 3 Doors Down, a bit of country, and a ton of 80's music).
If I'm alone and all is silent, I get to listen to my malamute mix, Rosie, snore loudly because her favorite place to be is under my desk at my feet. That's usually not too bad, except there are days that I wonder if I should have a gas mask in my stash. LOL

Many times just the birds singing out my window...otherwise the TV may be on in the next room-in my bedroom, on low...really can't hear much. It's just white noise
My stamping area is in our "computer room/office/library", and there is a TV right in from of me. My computer is to the left, so I'm always at least listening to the TV or surfing the net. My husbands computer is to the right.
During the day I watch Regis & Kelly, All My children, sometimes Ellen and/or Oprah.
At night I have many favorite shows:
The Closer, Saving Grace, Army Wives, Big Love, Criminal Minds, Law & Order:SVU, ER, Two and a Half Men, Medium, Royal Pains.
I'm in trouble when I work PM's or 12 hours shifts, then I have to record some of those shows!!
Can you tell I watch a lot ot TV???
Sometimes I like to watch a DVD.
I usually save my music listening for in the shower, and in the car.

I'm sure I will be made fun of for this (all of my other friends do, so I can handle it!), but for the past six months my cd player has been faithfully devoted to New Kids on the Block. Greatest Hits and their latest "The Block." I can't help it-I am addicted! Puts me in the scrappin' mood too!
I like silence....but I usually get the kids fighting and the washer/dryer going... Just started trying to listen to Michael Jackson CDs but I get too distracted singing and groovin' in my chair...so silence works best for me.
I just started listening to music on www.pandora.com. It's FREE, and SO cool! You type in the name of an artist, and they'll play their music, plus other artists with similar qualities. As you listen, you can give songs the thumbs up or thumbs down, so the station becomes more tailored to your tastes. You can also mix together several of your stations for more variety. Right now, some of my stations include Sheryl Crow, Billy Joel, Guns n Roses, Madonna, and Michael Buble. Pandora ROCKS!!!
My local radio station has this awesome New Wave program from 9-10, so I listen to that a lot. The DJ is great (I love listening to his English accent) and his style really adds a lot to the show. If Vinney's not on the radio, I listen to CDs, prefer folk or mellow while I'm stamping, like Gordon Lightfoot, Cowboy Junkies, Blue Rodeo, that sort of thing.
Great topic! I usually listen to a mix of John Mayer, Jars of Clay, Adele, Erin McCarley, Needtobreathe, Sara Bareilles, Mutemath, The Classic Crime, and of course here in a month or two I'll have to start playing some Christmas carols...
I really must be odd man out, because I have to have my sports. Normally only have time to stamp on the weekends so it is Nascar right now and baseball. This is probably why I do not get a lot of stamping done because I am too busy watching the TV. If it is the off season occasionally it will be football and rarely basketball, love winter sports. If there really is nothing but tennis or golf or the likes on, then I will turn the TV to the digital music channels and alternate between several different stations depending on my mood.
My sweet hubby who travels 5 days a week for business just let me know he ordered me a 27 inch flat panel tv with built in DVD player for my stamp room. I do have a 19 in tv but it takes up too much space. My new one should be here next week...what a sweet man...I cant wait to reclaim some of the space that the TV takes up now. OH..the TV did not cost a dime because he gets so many Marriott points he used them for the TV. Said we are also getting a 52 inch flat panel next for our office...YEEHAH...
blessings.
Most of the time I have my radio on Q95, which is classic rock. Sometimes I'll switch it to a country station or I'll play my Ipod which is a mix of everything from rock to alternative to disco to funk to old country to new country to comedy to jazz (I can run the gauntlet.) Then occasionally (especially late at night) I'll stamp in silence.
I told my hubby that I'm thinking about becoming a VIP member of the "The Bob and Tom Show" so I can listen to them anytime.
Wintertime: I can craft at the kitchen table and I'll usually have the TV on for company. I like old movies (TCM), TVLand, HGTV, Food Network.
Summertime: I have to craft in the basement and I don't have a TV in that particular room. So I'll either listen to the radio (oldies station) or my own CDs (1940s-1950s pop/jazz standards). If it's on the weekend, I might listen to certain shows on NPR like "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" or "This American Life" or "The Splendid Table."
I know. I'm odd.
I love "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" and "The Splendid Table."
