I am in need of a flower stamp and punch. I have seen lots of samples of both the flower shop set and the new petite petals. The budget only allows for one. Which do you think would be better? Any opinions are appreciated.
Personally, I am favoring flower shop. I've made projects with both, and I love how you can watercolor the flower shop designs making them match pretty much any layout or card your making. I've used this set both in Cardmaking and numerous scrapbook projects. I like petite petals too, but not quite as much. I have several projects posted on my Facebook page and blog made with Flower Shop- my favorite is a scrapbook page I made recently layering flowers from the set that I Watercolored.
When you first get them, find the video on how to use them. Its a little trickymto line them up to be punched correctly, but if you follow the instructions and mark the stamps for the right direction, you won't have any trouble. I will see if I can find the video.
I have both and I definitely prefer Petite Petals. You don't have to line it up to punch because the petals are all the same, so it saves tons of time. I am all about time!!

Once you mark the stamps for where the top is, it doesn't take anymore time and there are other stamp sets that have a flower that can go with the punch too. Like Morning Meadow has a flower stamp that goes with this punch, so I took that flower out of that set and put I in with flower shop. I just like the shape of the pansy punch a little better.
I totally love Flower Shop! I watched one person on Youtube who showed just where to make a little black mark for the one petal that's different. I marked all my stamps with the black mark and also the punch...it takes no time at all to line it up and punch away. Petite Petals is pretty but it is so small, only 7/8".

I have Secret Garden with the matching Framelits so I want to get the Petite Petals bundle. I prefer the images too-some are more realistic than Flower Shop. I make all my own 3-D flowers and the punch is perfect.
If I could only have one, I'd pick Petite Petals because the smaller size is more versatile and punches are faster than dies (don't get me wrong, I love dies) but punches are much faster if you are making multiples.
Ok ok.....I saw petite petals and they are now on my list for next month!!!!! They are adorable and will look great alongside the flower shop flowers! I knew I shouldn't come in here!!! Enablers! That's what you all are! LOL
