Default Flower making punches

Saw a great demo at Archiver's for McGill's new punches for making beautiful flowers. Decided that I didn't want to invest all that money into the tools as there was much to buy and I already have a shortage of time to make things. However, they were beautiful.

Anyway, I just saw the SU mini catalog and noticed the blossoms petal punch and wondered how versatile it could be. It would be a much smaller investment. Would it make a variety of beautiful flowers?

Thanks,
Michelle

I recently saw someone make dogwood blossoms from it!
DO a search in the gallery using some key words such as flower punch or blossom petal, lots of combo possibilities. I bet you'll be inspired

Default Build a Blossom

Just saw this one today: Building Daisy
Another two examples of different flowers.
HERE's the Dogwood one.

I guess that's all I have saved so far.

I love to make the paper flowers also and have invested a lot of money in the punches. I started out taking a class from the author of Paper Bouquet and Paper Garden, Susan Tierney Cockburn. The punches she uses is a mix of ones from The Punch Bunch, Mcgill, and other misc. ones that are the right shapes.

If you look at the flowers you want to make and then look at the petal shapes, try to find a punch(s) that will make the most flowers. That is what I did when I started my paper flower addiction. Also look for ones that can be altered after punching the shape, cutting them into shapes for other petals or parts of the flower. Hope this helps.

My first thought for showing off that punch was Jackie's blog, too!

Wow, what a lot of great ideas using that punch. I'm excited because I just ordered it and I can't wait to try some of these out.

hummm - I'm on the fence about this punch - all the samples look great though! Thanks so much for the samples, ladies.

I am a designer and the Social Media girl for McGill and wanted to let you know that McGill is now blogging and has a facebook page. We have all the "how to's" to create 15 different flowers with our punches as well as videos and we are posting lots of projects with our punches.

We will be doing a lot of giveaways on our blog like the one we put up yesterday and yes you will see giveaways on the Paper Blossom punches also.

We will be featuring random projects from our consumers on our blog. If you have any projects that you created with McGill Punches we want you to leave a comment on our blog and link us up to your project. We will be featuring up to 4 different random people a month on our blog.

We are also working out the details on a few contests.

So come on by and check out the blog at McGill Blog let us know what you think of it etc and we would love it if you became a follower of our blog and or facebook page.

Looking forward to seeing links to everyones projects.

As far as I am concerned....the master of punch flowers has to be Selma and her blog is here.

You can always make lots of different flowers with many of the SU flower punches. That is what I love about them!

There are a million-and-one videos on You Tube for paper roses and flowers made from punches, or die cuts. Just do a search for paper flowers. Get a pot of coffee on, you'll be watching for hours, lol!

Oh, I bet that punch will be in SU big catalog next year (2011/2012). They would not spend that much money on development for just a four month run.
