Saw a great demo at Archiver's for McGill's new punches for making beautiful flowers. Decided that I didn't want to invest all that money into the tools as there was much to buy and I already have a shortage of time to make things. However, they were beautiful.
Anyway, I just saw the SU mini catalog and noticed the blossoms petal punch and wondered how versatile it could be. It would be a much smaller investment. Would it make a variety of beautiful flowers?
I recently saw someone make dogwood blossoms from it!
DO a search in the gallery using some key words such as flower punch or blossom petal, lots of combo possibilities. I bet you'll be inspired

I love to make the paper flowers also and have invested a lot of money in the punches. I started out taking a class from the author of Paper Bouquet and Paper Garden, Susan Tierney Cockburn. The punches she uses is a mix of ones from The Punch Bunch, Mcgill, and other misc. ones that are the right shapes.
If you look at the flowers you want to make and then look at the petal shapes, try to find a punch(s) that will make the most flowers. That is what I did when I started my paper flower addiction. Also look for ones that can be altered after punching the shape, cutting them into shapes for other petals or parts of the flower. Hope this helps.
