I see StampFest, a stamping convention, is scheduled for June 23, 24 in the Orlando, Florida area (it's actually just outside the Disney resort this year).
Anybody going? Here's the link, in case you would like more information.
I am planning on going, but I have no idea where it is this year. I liked when it was at the end of International Drive, just because it was easy to get to.
I was looking up the location on MapQuest, and you are right- the end of International Drive was easy to find.
The Radission is way further south (south of Lake Buena Vista) and is very close to the Disney entrance. That's 30 minutes more driving for me.
I wish they had a list of vendors attending. I really like buying from Marco's paper at these conventions, as their prices are so low, and there are good specials. And it's fun to see things demonstrated. There was a Stampin Up! demonstrator there last year, and her make and take was very good.
I talked with my stamping buddy, and we're going! I've never been before. Could someone who's been there in the past give me an idea of what it's like. Thanks.

I went on a Saturday last year, and it was a huge space filled with vendor booths all around the edges of the room and also down the middle. Some vendors were doing make and takes, or demos - particularly Seaside Inks demoing misters - gin washes, 91% alcohol washes, overstamping. They were using their glossy paper, misters and stamps. Stampers Anonymous had a huge booth, as did Impression Obsession, and Marco Paper.
It became very crowded right before lunch, and one lady fainted. The Marco paper guy brought his own little fan and had it blowing on him as he ran up sales. He said he had learned from the last one. The Paper Cut had a huge booth, too. There were about a third more vendors at the Orlando StampFest than the one in Clearwater. I think the classes were on Friday.
There was an atc contest, and winners were absolutely incredible - certainly not anything you would regularly trade. They had glass slides, and assemblage aspects. Really something to see.
I am very sad that "An Artful Journey", the Jacksonville stamping convention was cancelled this year. I think, in part, Stampfest does not permit vendors at their convention to participate in other regional conventions. So I have mixed feelings about going to Stampfest. I have been several times, and can order from the regular vendors on line, and with the price of gas, I don't think I'll save much by going. (Save? I have got to be kidding - I always spend a fortune at this thing.)
