The Fiskars warehouse sale in Wausau WI is this weekend - I went yesterday and got so many goodies. ALL CHEAP!
I am wondering if any other SCSer in Wisconsin are going?
DH wants to go to the cabin today when i get home from work so that ruins me running out again and again. My neighbor will be going again so I told her to get me a few more rain dots and flowers and so on.
I actaully met 2 gals that drove up from Georgia and several from Illinois and Minnesota. They all said the drive was well worth it. In fact one gal from Illinois called her hubby as she bought so much stuff she could not get it in her car and he had to drive 7 hours to pick some stuff up for her to bring home!!!LOL I thought to myself he must really love her as my DH would probably faint if I asked him to do this for me!! Then lock me up for even thinking it. LOL LOL

LOL - mine would lock me up for even thinking of taking the trip myself -- lucky you - wish I were near enought for a road trip - longest trip I take for my addiction is to Maine - 2 1/2 hours (so far !!)

Wow, that sounds like fun. I am in Michigan and there is no way my DH would want me to drive that far (Not as far as the other lady though) he would worry that I would buy everything since I could not run back 10 times.
I wish they would offer this sale online! So, what did you get?

I went to Corpus Christie a few weeks ago to visit a friend but I was so excited to go to a HL there because we dont have them here. Does that count as a long trip to get stamp items...lol. It takes a whole day to travel there by plane.
blessings.
I went to the last one and nearly passed out from all the goodies - I am planning on going to this one yet, but probably not 'til tomorrow morning.
Did you see lots of stuff that wasn't there last time?
YES!They have clear stamp sets at this one for $1.00! They are the fiskars brand sets thay sell at Joannes for $10 -$15!! They also have the Ink By Steph stamps and I have been looking for these but the cheapest I could find was $15 a set - I got all 5 sets for $5 instead of paying $60 retail!!!
I got a nice rotary trimmer for $5 (sells for $69.99), Hiedi grace flower packs - Rain Dots (100 packs for about $15
Gingher scissors, DSP, buttons - Definitely worth it.
meluvstampin, thanks for posting this. I didn't know this was going on and I live in Wausau too !
We really need to get together and have a stampin fun day. If I would have known we could have met a Fiskars.
A question for you, where is the Ware house at? I did a search for it but I was getting two different addresses. Thanks
At the last one, they had a spot set up to sign up with your e-mail to get notice of the next sale - it was in the check-out line. If you pm me with your e-mail address, I'll forward you the copy of the flyer (I think it's the ad that eventually was run in the papers). That's how I knew about this one; I always miss the newspaper ad.
.... if you feel like driving, I believe Herrschnerr's in Stevens Point is also having a scrapbooking warehouse sale this weekend. I heard something about it on the radio the other day.
cbet, thanks for the flyer that saved me some dollars.
Here's what I got,
4 types of scissors
3 heidi grace wood block rubber stamp sets
1 fiskars turkey lurkey clear stamp set (love this set it's so cute)
3 rain dots in different colors
1 foldable cutting mat
1 fiskars cutter board
and a couple of none stamping items for christmas gifts.
Oh, yeah. My friend and I started out at 6:15AM today for Wausau from Madtown. Got there about 15 min. to 9, stayed until 11:30 and made 3 trips to the car. Came home with lots of goodies---mostly the stuff already mentioned above. First time for us but definitely not the last. Thanks to the SCSer who posted the info on the sale here. Not sure where to even put everything I got.

HI Meluvstampin, I was doing a search on google for when the Fiskars warehouse sale started? I came accross this site, which I didn't know even existed. Reason I am reaching out, is I have a FISKARS navy blue rotary cutter, and I am trying to figure out how old it is? I think I may have purchased it at the warehouse sale, which I was only their once and of course I can't remember what year that was - a long time ago. I looked it up but couldn't find anything on their website. Maybe someone in this forum would recall? Thank you to all who may respond so much appreciated. Long story as to why I am asking.

HI ddesigns003. The original thread is dated 2009. I can't locate any information on any Fiskars locations in the US, just retailers who sell their products now.
