I have had my Retro Alphabets (Upper, Lower and Numbers) since before they retired. I keep thinking that it is such a nice alphabet, but have NEVER used it. I finally posted it in Buy, Sell, Trade Forum. I have to let go of things I am never going to use. I just know the minute it gets snatched up that I will have a use for it.
Anyone need to let go of stamps that you don't use or have let go of something that you are kicking yourself for right now????
I keep saying to myself..."It's just a stamp set." Right?
I know how you feel!! I am an SU! demo and have lots of stamp sets, some of which I've never used yet, but I hate to part with them just yet. I figure eventually one day I might sell them or trade them.
But I keep saying that I LOVE all my stamps! Even if I don't use them. It's just one of those things that you hate to let go. You just keep buying more and more to add to our *collections*! ;)
I have a set I earned with my hostess dollars at my very first workshop I ever hosted. I never use it, but will never get rid of it!! :o) I've been a demo for 3 and 1/2 yrs and still have the first set I ever bought as a customer. Too sentimental even though they are dust collectors!!
I have had to learn how to let go, too! I keep telling myself that by trading or selling my retired sets, then I will be able to fund my next big catty purchase. I will be sending a set out today and I already did think about the fact that I never even made the card I intended to make with it when I bought it!
The thing is, there is always going to be new cool stuff coming out... every single year. Design styles change, and my preferences change with them. I feel better about my hobby knowing that I can recoup some of the money I've invested in it by trading/selling some of the things that I don't use anymore or even that I never used enough to begin with! I really am trying to be a stamper and not a collector... my hobby is stamping not collecting... I just keep telling myself that.

I know exactly how you feel! I have some sets that I still haven't even mounted that I bought over a year ago, but I could never part with them. Once it's gone, I will need it for sure for something! This is a real addiction ;)
I just don't let go. I still have every SU set I ever bought (9yrs now). My DH wishes I would "let go" but I just can't. I may need them for scrapbooking someday. I know if I get rid of something I will regret it. It's my house too so... all my little friends stay!
