I would also like to have another kitten since Hoss, my youngest, will be 4 this year and Minuet will be 8, I either would like an all grey to be named "Shades" or an orange tabby to be named "Sherbert", but I live with my parents for now so when I move I'll probably get one then.
My first picture is of Little Buddy, who's not as little as I thought he'd be. I was trying to put a bow on this wreath and he was helping...The second picture is of
Little Baby hanging out while I craft...The next two are of Myrtle and she's just crazy! She's into everything! The last picture is of Sophie, who wants to hang out when I'm in the craft room too.
Normally, I have four 4-legged craft buddies. Two feline and two canine.
Rascal the Brittany and Riley the weimaraner enjoy the couch and will lay there for hours. When they're not trying to grab paint bottles and run off. Peanut is the big cat (he's about 27 pounds) and he also spends a fair amount of time on the couch. Bob, however, MUST be included. He will hop up on the table and insist that I pet him. He really likes to do it when there's exposed adhesive he can get his fur on.

Thanks to everyone sharing their photos and stories. I no longer have cats as my now husband is allergic to them. My two favorite cats loved to get involved with my stamping things. Mr. Peepers will always be remembered as the cat who jumped on my craft table just as I had the lid off the jar of dazzling diamonds. When he jumped on the table, the jar fell onto the tile floor...face down. He then jumped down into the dazzling diamonds, and flicked the jar away with his paw, then proceeded to swish his long-haired tail into the glitter. Glitter was EVERY WHERE. All over the floor. All over his tail. All over everywhere he went from that point forward. My other cat, Hannah, just loved jumping on the table and finding the sponges, and knocking them onto the tile floor and would spend hours batting them around. Aw, I miss those times!
You need a Cornish Rex! No dander = no allergies. My sister and her SIL used to breed them. I commonly have to move them so I can do ANYTHING!

Aw Wenchie, I loved those Sesame days when my kids were little. I would watch it with them and now I get to watch sometimes with my grandson. He actually prefers watching Grover The Waiter on You Tube - lol. He's 4. If you go to You Tube you can find videos from the good old days, Ladybug Picnic, The Pinball Machine etc. There was one I loved that is nowhere to be found. It was the CowCow Boogie and there were cows singing to 40's type music. Lame by today's standards but it WAS funny!
Your cat is beautiful - real or stuffed? LOL just kidding.
He is beautiful. He looks like my daughter's cat Morris. But..Morris is an old cat who was a stray her neighbor was taking care of. When the neighbor moved and couldn't take everyone with her, she asked Vicki if she would look after him. He now lives the life he was meant to live. He's deaf but that doesn't stop him from doing anything, including kicking some kitty a##. She also takes care of 2 cats who were abandoned by some idiot renting a house on her street. All he was interested in was taking drugs. They're both very happy and healthy. Everyone gets along with Vicki's 2 dogs and 2 indoor cats. The other cats don't want to stay in the house but she has a back entrance which leads to her basement and it has a dog/kitty door. So, when it's really nasty out they do go in the house that way. They also like to hang out under the deck. She IS her mother's daughter - lol.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention...if anyone pulls into their driveway and has an opened door or leaves their window/windows open, you will find Morris and possibly smokey and Nellie (a tortoise color) relaxing in the car - lol.

Where exactly did you find a Brit that will lay on a couch for hours??? We are on our 2nd and 3rd Brits, and I can't get them to lay down for minutes, let alone hours!!! There's a reason they are nicknamed "Brattanies"! One of my Brits will run 20 kilometers a day stalking, pointing and chasing flies, and the other one thinks he is everyone's best friend so spends his day running the fence with the kids next door. We actually have to crate them for several hours just to get them to relax and slow down!

The Brits sound like Bengals, very active kitties.
We have three. The two boys love being in my craft room with me, but only one, Benny, will bug me for attention. The photos are when he was bugging me while I was sewing. Of course, he always wins and gets pet.
My sister had a Brittany and she was the puppy from hell - lol. She did turn out to be a great dog as she got beyond that puppy stage. My sister didn't find everything she did amusing, poop on walls, laundry scattered all over the place, and oh yes, if the bathroom door was accidentally left open, toilet paper all over the house. She worked full time and the poop on the walls happened when she was confined to the bathroom. At least she was in the right room - lol. She lived to the ripe old age of 18.
As I was working on cards this evening I opened the armoire where I store some of my supplies and pulled out a basket of embellishments to go. Of course Kinsey jumped right in, so I had to grab my phone to take a picture to post here and show her "helping".
Love your ragdolls. My love Timothy Toes, also a ragdoll, "helped" make my daughter's wedding gown and veil, three bridesmaids dresses, a flower girls's dress and of course, my wedding suit. I worried about him getting his paw under the sewing machine needle, but he never did actually grab for it. Just watched fascinated as every stitch went in. I miss him terribly he was such a lovey puss. Have had many cats throughout my lifetime, as many as thirty at one time. Wouldn't be without one. They are like air to me. Life isn't complete without a cat. I'd post photos if I knew how but I would have a hard time choosing one cat from the many. Curreent resident is Thomas Mauser Tallcat, a very independent orange tabby. But when he wants attention you might as well give up anything you are doing. Mostly he like to get into anything and everything while I'm stamping. Knocking or pulling things down is his favorite way of getting attention in the craft room.
I have to look for a picture of Bubba who is gone now. He was a BIG tuxedo and one of the funniest cats I've had. At the time I had a dog - Max - and spring loaded cabinet doors. I would get home from work and the cabinet with the snacks would be opened. One day I found out how that happened. Max and Bubba were partners in crime. Bubba would sit up on his butt and keep hitting the door with his paws. Then Max would help himself to whatever looked good. Max loved cats. Bubba also one day broke through the screen in an upstairs bedroom and when my daughter came home from school, he was sunning himself on the overhang. She got him in but everytime after that, when he did that (we went through alot of screens), he would jump up and do a kitty pull up. It was quite a distance from the overhang to the window. He was a great cat but aren't they all?!
I'm not really a cat person, but that is more because I am violently allergic to cats so from an early age I have just stayed as far away from them as possible. But I do like to enjoy them from afar - some of them are quite animated and funnier than all heck!
And I can't even get a non-allergenic type of cat, because the dogs DO NOT LIKE CATS! Unfortunately, when a feral cat unexpectedly had kittens in our backyard, we weren't home at the time, and our two dogs ended up killing several of them before the mother could move them all. We felt terrible about it, but our dogs are trained hunting dogs, and they just don't tolerate wildlife in the yard.
So, I love all the kitty pictures and am enjoying them vicariously through your stories!

Betty your story of Bubba reminded me of my cat Honey. He looked exactly like Morris the cat. He loved human cereal and graham crackers . I had to change the spring latches to latches with little wheels, because I would come home from work and find cereal and graham cracker pieces all over the floor.
We had to bring a treat to work on our birthday and occasionally I made Chocolate Eclairs. The evening before I had made all of the eclairs and left them cooling on the counter when I went to bed. I got up the next morning and Honey had eaten the tops off of ALL of them Needless to say the office got bakery donuts that year. They were very disappointed since they were looking forward to homemade Chocolate Eclairs !

These are for you all to enjoy. I collect images to use in projects. The 5 cats in a row is one that I posterized in Photoshop. The second picture is by Walter Schels, a famous photograper, and the others were sent to me by a friend. Enjoy! I have loved looking at your cat pictures here. You can't help buy love them!

I had a Golden Retriever years ago, named Midas. One day I baked two loaves of home made bread, wrapped them in a dishtowel and left them on the table to cool while I took a nap. When I got up there was the dish towel on the floor, but no bread.! :(
I was at Archivers today and saw a new line from We R Memory Keepers called "Friends Furever". I bought this sheet and have cut up the sections to make 12 cards: http://www.weronthenet.com/File/View...3-f1478c708c69

What a fun thread! It's like a Kitty support group! I'm glad to read that other have problems with hair covered adhesive. I'm going to use "pet hair comes free of charge".
I have a cat that loves to help. I don't have any pictures of her on my craft table, but she loves to sit either on me or on my stuff that I would like to be working on. I did have a pic of her sitting on the computer, but I can't find it now. A funny story...My stamping club has a library where we can take out stamp sets for a month. I took out one and when I went to return it, one stamp was missing. At the time, my stamping area was in the bedroom. Shortly after that, I moved into a studio that I share with my husband. Well, I tore up the bedroom, looking for that stamp. I looked for months and never did find it. Fast forward about 1 1/2 years later...I was looking for something that the cat lost in my dining room, under the buffet. Well way in the back I spotted something small. I reached back and guess what I found...you guessed it, the stamp that went missing from the bedroom! I'm not sure if it was there the whole time or if she just batted it from place to place. Every time I think of it, I have to laugh. She is such a clown!
Thanks for all the great stories! I used to say I wasn't a cat person. (That was 5 cats & 25 years ago!) Now I believe that people who say they aren't cat people just haven't met the right cat!
We recently lost Lil, our 13 year old "bionic cat." She was intended to be an outside, country cat, but was hit by a car when she was only 4 months old. The drs managed to removed the fragments of her shattered right hip and pin her right leg so that she got around like nothing had ever happened. She had to be right in the middle of whatever anyone was doing. Not playing or helping, just laying there on whatever we were working on! If I was on the laptop she laid across my forearms. If I was on the desktop she wanted to walk across the keyboard. And forget about trying to spread out fabric or pin a pattern to it!
Kit is only about 4 years old and has her own ways of demanding attention. When we had a printer connected to the computer in our bedroom, she discovered that she could push the paper feed button and turn it on, making enough noise to wake us. The first thing we did when we got up in the morning was feed the cats. She would push the button and watch us. As soon as one of us would stir she'd shoot over to her food bowl and sit there looking all innocent. That printer didn't stay there long! And, not surprisingly, Kit is quite fat now!
A lot of people don't think they like cats because they're not as affectionate as dogs. So wrong. I too had 25 cats (more if you count the kittens I rescued and brought to a no kill shelter). I've told the story here before but the cats were neglected cats who used to live behind me until we took over their care. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. These cats were very affectionate and not one nasty cat in the bunch. I have one cat left from this original group, Daisy, aka Daisy Head Maisie. Her sisters, brothers, and cousins are gone now, the last two have passed within this last year. Daisy and the other cats were referred to as puppy cats by us - lol. Maybe because they were taken care of (animal wise) by their moms and also my dog Max. He really loved the cats and when they were born, his head was in the box licking mom and kids. He was really an amazing dog. No cat fighting allowed when Max was here. He would break up the fights. If you say Daisy's name, she licks you. When you pet her, she licks you. Woof! LOL. Mushy is not related to all the other cats we had, but he's very doglike too. So I have two cats....Daisy 17 and Mushy 10. My dog Duke will be 12 on October 16th. I will always have pets, although I have to keep the population down because we're older now and one day we won't be here anymore. I don't want to be one of those people who's pets had to be relocated because their owners died. Not that it's such a terrible thing but it's traumatic for animals and I'd rather not put them through that. I have two daughters. One has alot of pets and I can't expect her to take mine too. The other is allergic so she's out. So, I have to think about that when the day comes that Daisy, Mushy and Duke are no longer with us and it's time to get another pet. I know I can't live the rest of my life without an animal in it.
