I don't have a picture of the card I made last year to upload for you because my camera isn't working right now but here's what I did: I found an old photo of mom, dad, and all of us kids (there are 9 of us) when we were little. It was taken outside at my grams house (my dad's mom). With that big of a group it wasn't easy to find a photo with all of us on it. So I put that photo on the front and cut out the word "DAD" with my Cuttlebug and glued them onto the front of the card as well.
It really turned out cute. When he opened it I saw his mind just wonder and we talked for a good while about the memories on that picture. Good luck with your card making. And if you are a mother, Happy Mother's Day to you.

Thank you for ALL the great ideas. When I "searched" in the gallery I used Father's Day. Fathers Day cards seem fewer than Mothers Day and are MUCH harder to make! lol
I did find some rubber stamps at a convention I went to the other day. Hope I can do something with them.

Searching the galleries can be tricky due to many members spelling things differently. You could always try a general term like "masculine".
It looks like you have lots of good advice, examples, and links to get you inspired. I just thought I'd link a few of my Father's Day cards w different styles for inspiration. Good luck and have fun with this as you still have lots of time to work on it.
I would look up in the SU gallery.....and look up what masculine stamp sets you have.......then try to tweek them .....to your own designs.
ie: camping, lighthouses, cars, fishing, golfing...you get the idea.....
I just posted one this morning. I included a photo collage. I was inspired by Holly's photo on her Father's Day card in the technique challenge. You can see my card here:
