Wow that's cool! He was exactly the same way in real life that he was on TV...sooo funny.
I knew I'd show my age with the 21 Jump street thing....oh well. It was the only channel everybody had back then because we couldn't afford cable in college so we watched FOX!
I bet Booker stamps, aye? LOL

romper room was televised pre-school in the 1950 and 60s later they came out with Sesame street...i missed it of course....the teacher had the magic mirror where she could see the do bees and don't bees....i watched it...never on it. I was on Captain 11 ...cartoon show. and st. louis hop...our version of American Bandstand. or whatever its name was.
I was in the movie "Little Nikita" with River Phoenix and Sidney Poitier. The opening scene was a parade and I was in the marching band. The camera was right in the middle of the street and I marched right by it.
This thread is hilarious. I totally remember Romper Room and I loved 21 Jump Street! ;)
Famous, famous, famous. . . funny I just posted this on another thread like yesterday. I have hugged my DDs boyfriend, who has hugged his brother, who has posed for a picture with Jackie Chan. So that makes me what, four or five degress of separation away from famous?
My not so claim to fame happened when I was a wee pre-schooler. I was on a local show called "Romper Room" for a week. If y'all want an autographed glossy I'm sure I could oblige. ;)
OMG I watched Romper Room...holy cow, that takes me back years!!!
I'm laughing out loud with you guys. I don't really want to see Terry Bradshaw naked...but now George Clooney- he can stamp naked with me anytime. Aren't there T-shirts out there for naked softball, bowling something....we need one for stamping (ha ha).
I did see Martha stamp on one of her shows one time...so I'm sure she lurks here to get ideas for her next craft book (ha ha). And the girl from Facts of Life the blond one--she scrapbooks. Leeza Gibbons does too- she launched a line that didn't seem to take.
My only claim to fame is I'm currently in my company's catalog. If you want to see me...really I don't know why you would...I'm on page 4. You can check out my webpage to see the catalog. But that's it, nothing big from here.

"Romper, bomper, stomper boo. Tell me, tell me, tell me, do. Magic mirror, tell me today. Have all my friends had fun at play?" I can see many Splitcoast Do Bee's!
OMG!! I was saying something like this to DH just the other week! I would love to see a show like - 'The Secret Stamping/Scrapping Lives of Celebs'! It would be a million times better then most of the new 'reality' shows on tv at the moment!
I've heard of Romper Room but I do remember watching 21 Jump Street when I was little! (But I was old enough to think JD was some yummy eye candy!)
I've always wondered the same thing, in fact I have even wondered if doctors stamp.. It's funny because EVERYTIME I take my kids to the pediatrician's office, I find my self staring at the doctor and thinking to myself, hmmm I wonder if she stamps? Why I wonder this I have no idea, I don't wonder it about anyone else, just her for some reason, and she doesn't even look crafty. So are there any medical doctors or dentists that are members of SCS???
I know of at least 2 docs that are stampers and I think they are both members, but don't post, just do gallery searches. I stamp with them both once a month.
I have to make this comment...... Have any of you seen the movie Failure to Launch? Do you think Terry scrapbooks in his naked room????
I have never seen the movie but I bet Terry DOES scrap naked! He is a total hoot! I loved his commericals, too young to remember him play football except through his highlight reels but DIY protrayed him as a serious scraper but he did have on clothes !! Why is it that when men get in the mix, clothes come off?
Romper Room, 21 Jump Street . . . two of my most favorite shows!! I STILL tell my kids to be a good "do-bee" and they just don't get it at all!! BTW, 21 JS was supposed to be a star vehicle for Peter DeLuise (Dom DeLuise's nephew). Now y'all are going "Who??" I remember looking right past him to Johnny. I am quite certain I DISCOVERED Johnny Depp!! I was certain he was the HOTTEST thing out there! I'll bet we could get him to stamp, too! He does have a lot of tattoos . . .
My "famous" claim to fame is that my husband and his dad/brothers have made furniture for Richard Pryor, Patricia Richardson (the mom on Home Improvement) and Michael Keaton. How cool is that???
Hey i was on Romper Room too...lol way back when i think i was 5 or so...so like 1970 and even have a picture hold the mirror.....
Wouldn't it be funny if we ere on the same week? Just kidding. When I was on we had to bring our favourite toy. I brought my ratty old bear that I loved more than life itself. All the other kids brought brand new toys. Miss (I can't remember her name) held my toy up gently between two fingers and as far away from her as possible. My mom was so ticked. She wondered why we were told to bring our favourites if the teacher wouldn't even want to hold them?:(

I never realized Romper Room was so famous! I just thought it was a local cable TV show. This is way cool! (to quote the kids these days) By the way I may be old in years but I'm young at heart.
Another story for ya'll. My dh went on a mission trip to Guatemala with some people from our church. Apparently all the kids that they ran into thought one of the guys on the team was CHUCK NORRIS! So, he was giving the kids autographs and he even had his photo taken with the local police as Chuck Norris. It was quite funny.
