Dh pops in on me in my craft room from time to time. I didn't think he noticed all the stamps and such piled on tables and desks. That is untill I've heard him tell several people that I had a TON of stamps and STUFF. But, little by little coming in the house and he is none the wiser!! I gotta watch myself better though, times are a little tighter right now. Love all the companies SCS has introduced me to. This sight is really a companys best friend!!

I know everytime I get on here I find something else to add to my wish list. My DH and I each get a certain amout each pay perid to spend however we want and all of mine goes to craft supplies.

One good thing though, I have also learned different ways to use some of the things I already had.

I agree, I have bought so many things because of all the great work here. But it gets worse! I am a member of DSS (Divine Secret Sister) and my little sister is a wonderful person and a super enabler. My little $40 SU order went to $200 because of her suggestions and creations. I love everything she suggested!

She introduced me to Scor-Pal, Flourishes stamps and supports my Papertrey Ink addiction. I have so many new toys that I love that I may not have ever discovered if it wasn't for her.

I begrudge every penny I don't spend on my papercrafting addiction. You're so right, girls. Who needs new threads when I can have the latest and greatest toy in paper crafting. And nowadays, they come with blings!:-D :-D :-D I started with one craft room and I'm slowly creeping next door. I wonder if DH notices?

I've been eyeing the new Glue Glider Gun. And, in 2 weeks we're having the CK Expo in town. Woo-hoo! Shopping!:p

You gals crack me up!

Hi, my name is Mary Ann and I'm a rubber-aholic...

I can't believe there isn't a 12-step group just for us! I have enriched SU and several other companies immeasurably since I discovered SCS. Well, I suppose I could measure it, but I don't wanna know!! But I've also made some wonderful new friends, and blessed the ones I have with home made cards that they seem to really treasure. I love creating with my stamps and pretty papers, and my weed-infested garden is proof that this has become my #1 hobby.

The good news is, my DH is an enabler. He decided I needed a Cuttlebug (Bless you, HON!) and a keeper for my 12 x 12 papers. He even went shopping WITH me! I think he does it in the hopes I won't ask how much he spends on his hobbies, but it works for me!

I've recently had to get a job to help pay my DD's college expenses, so I rarely get to play anymore. :( But nobody can claim I'm not doing my part for the economy!

I consider myself an addict, too, but I must be going through an anti-acquisition stage. I see all the beautiful things here but only some of them (CB Embossing Folders) make me go ga-ga and run to the craft store. Every time I see a beautiful card that uses tool I don't have, I ask myself if it's really my style. Could I create something as beautiful as the original, and would I want to over and over again? If it's beautiful on it's own but not my creative style, I can live without the tools. I'm that way with Copics, Cricut, expensive pencill and paper... The only thing I'm still acquiring is stamps and CB embossing folders! I haven't even bought new paper for over a year.
I have to downsize my craft/guest room soon, I'm going to be sharing it with my DD so a family friend and her baby can have her room for a little while. I think knowing that has put me in a less acquiring mood. I want to be able to create but I know I just can't put anything else in that room!

Hi! My name is Billie Dee and I'm addicted to buying more and more card making-related toys. I hold SCS responsible for making so many of these items known to me. Before SCS - I thought I was happy ..... silly me.

Red face

Okay, so as I am readng this thread, someone mentions new Bella stamps, so of course, I have to flip to the site! This is how it starts. I have no more room and am now thinking about what I can "get rid of" to make room for me! I think I have too many handbags to maybe I'll take some to the consignment store...........and who said 4 kids need to eat? Why? Don't they get enough at school?
Kidding aside, it is a wonderful, fun way to to meet nice people and share the love. It is also special when you make just the right card for that special occassion or person! Now, what can beat that?

I've had to resort to budgeting for supplies :-( (tear). But it keeps DH from getting upset. Christmas, Birthday, stamps and stuff is what's at the top of my list. I'm hoping for nesties after the first of the year.

OH NO Me too. I squirrel away whatever I can from the grocery money. I am currently lusting after "Tilda" stamps from magnolia, but it costs so much with postage from here. I never new about them until I saw the beautiful work from you talented ladies. Now look what you've done to my budget.

I don't buy a lot of stamps because of money and storage. My Mom buys them and we share. I have become addicted to fonts. There are many free sites around. I buy really cute fonts that look like stamps when they go on sale for $1 from letteringdelights.com and scrapnfonts.com. I like it because I can enlarge them to the size I want. Also Joanns and Michaels usually have tiny clear stamp sets for $1. I love dollar deals.

I seem to go in spurts where I want everything!! Right now I have so much stuff and i thought I was good. And then I was reading about a Scor Pal and I MUST have one. Also I thought I was good with just my cricut, but now I'm thinking I might need a Cuttlebug. I have learned about so many things since I starting reading these things and I'm going on a shopping spree this weekend!!

Luckily my mother will be with me. She might keep me in check. Then again, maybe not. LOL She loves to color in things for me.

I haven't been to the mall in....I don't know how long. I now spend all my money here and on SU things. I go to bed every night with my SU catalog, and I spend about 12 to15 hours a week on the computer just looking at all the stamping websites and buying lots of fun stamps. I'm getting a fat butt from sitting too long at the computer, my clothes barely fit, and I really need to go exercise OR go shopping for bigger clothes. But I have coupons for Michaels and Joanns...I don't have trime to exercise and I can't afford to buy new clothes and stamping toys too. I've decided to kill 2 birds with one stone. I'll go to Michaels and Joanns and walk the isles for exercise...if I can ever get off this computer!!!!

I have been thinking the same thing. I spent over an hour in Micheal's last night just looking and trying to decide what I really wanted to get next. Dumb budgets. My big confusion right now is what markers I should get.

They may call themselves "demonstrators", but we all know they're "dealers". We're all proof of that!

Birthday and Christmas ALL the family know to feed my addiction - have just bought my Christmas gift from DH at the last SU demo..... I don't dare calculate how much I have spent this year on crafting gear.... my reasoning is that I am creating a stash so that when DH retires (too soon for this addiction) I will have some supplies. Either that or I go out to work to feed this addiction, and then when could I craft????? And yes, this site is to be blamed!!

I at least have stopped buying stamping magazines etc. as everything I need to know is right here on this wonderful site! I have a lock on my craft room door now (to keep out Mr terrible nearly two) but it stops my husband from seeing recent purchases but if he does comment the old standard always comes in handy - oh darling I've had that for ages!

I agree. I'm 'collecting' stuff and looking so much that I haven't sat down to make anything yet. One day

School got cancelled, too, so while the kiddies are out playing in the snow, I am in playing on SCS. You guys talk about spending all your time on the computer and that is me, too. Now, however, I can add spending all my time on the computer eating Halloween candy! I don't want to go to the mall (although I did go to Hobby Lobby in the middle of the snow storm yesterday) and I definitely do not want to step on the scale!!!!

My new mantra -

I will not buy any paper. I will not buy any more paper! Do you think it will work?

It's a viscious (sp?) cycle! Job = no time for stamping. No job= no money for stamping. What's a girl to do?

I went part time on my job so I could have time for my very expensive hobby. The problem with that is (obviously) I don't have as much play money, and like others, I can't get off the computer to to do any real card making:\ One thing I HAVE done is when I have two coupons to...say Michaels,...I give one to my DH with the most expensive thing I'm buying, and HE PAYS FOR IT. It really works. Cleaver huh??????
