Perhaps emboss is not the correct term. I am wondering if anyone has a good resource for "embossing " a name and date onto SU's leather albumns. I would like to have each of my albumn for my child(ren) emboss with their names and the year covered in the albumn.
I don't want a goil or silver foil but something that will be more long lasting.
I've had all of my CM albums done (cloth and leather) by a lady that is local. She has one of those machines to do that at her house. I also know that CM offers this as a service but I think it has to be their albums. So, basically, I'm not much help here. Maybe talk to a CM person in your area or a local scrapbook place, they may know where to get it done.
Thanks for the input. I know that alot of the Christian stores offer this but they only seem to offer the gold/silver foil and I have had bad experience with it flaking off. Maybe it was the quality of the job. I was hoping to find an actual dry embossing type of service.
I will keep looking and post an answer here if I find one.
check to see if your local christian bookstore has an embossing or imprinting machine. i'm the manager of a chr. bookstore here in houston & we've got one. it's used to put names on bibles, but i've also done lots & lots of scrapbooks, photo albums & other things. it's a heat embosser & the gold/silver foil is permanent & if done correctly will last forever without flaking off (as opposed to the rub ons that will eventually rub off!!). the cost to have one line done is usually under $5....it really makes your albums look professional.
