Teresa, that's a good idea; I didn't think about posting pictures as I go
I honestly think once I get the junk that's in my room now hauled out I can do the rest in one day. There is a queen sized waterbed in there now, 3 broken recliner chairs. . . JUNK! My husband and I bought this house from his parents who didn't like to throw anything away. The house is nice, but there's just a ton of JUNK to get rid of.
Do you think the owner of that room could coment to us here on SCS?
Who is the lucky owner of that room?
She posts on one of the other boards I go to. Her room was just featured in a magazine. I believe she said she used to demo for one of the other direct sales companies before SU.
I only saw one window in the whole room. I like lots of light when I stamp (I just redeemed my Great Rewards points for the portable lamp and can't wait until it gets here ). I agree with the others who commented that they'd feel like the room was coming in on them. How would you use it all? :? My mind is boggled! I have about 70 stamp sets and I'm counting down the days until the retired list comes out so that I can clear things out! Do you think she actully OWNS all of those stamps and supplies, or does she have a huge credit card debt to go with it?
Holy... I think there is a little bit of obsession here.. This isn't a stamping room - it's a store!!!!!! Can you imagine how much $ worth of supplies there are in there??
I finally signed up to SCS but haven't had the time to check out this stamping community. Wanted to say HI to everyone and thank you for the nice comments about my stamp room!
I emailed this thread to my friend, Beth, who contacted the woman. She's a Stampin Up demonstrator, but DOES HAVE A DAY JOB. How does someone with that much stamp stuff still have enough time to have a day job?
That answers my question. Thank you! I saw the pictures and thought there is no way this person has a day job! OK, maybe she a day job, and a great room, but does she have time to use that great room? Yes, I'm just being envious! WOW! Doesn't even describe it! One more question..Is she married? And one more, is there a map of the room?
WOW! WOW! WOW!
OMG! I just thought of something, can you get all that stuff insured? Part of your homeowner's insurance? Wow, I love it. I would also love to be that organized. Thanks Cathy for some inspiratation!
Does she own stock in iris carts or what? All I can say is.......good for her!!! I will never be that organized.
My DH makes fun of me all the time and says "you can't spell scrap without CRAP!!!
 I guess this should remind us all to keep our supplies organized. Can you imagine what all that stuff would like in piles? I think the real thing to brag on her about is the neat and organized way she had stored all of the stamps and papers she has invested in.
WHEW!!! I tried and tried to log on last weekend and it just was not working! It seems like I've worked out the kinks now. Anyway, thanks for the welcome. The attention to my stamp room has been a bit overwhelming but lots of fun too! I've "met" many new stampers and that is always a good thing. I'm trying to remember a few questions - kinda hard at my age - but one answer is - my room measures 13.5 x 36 and is located in our lower level - aka: basement. I have two windows and several florescent lights and with the yellow walls - it's really quite bright in here. I don't get the closed in feeling at all! I started working a full time job 1 1/2 years ago (yes - to help support my habit and my family's hobby habits) but prior to that I was a SAHM who spent a lot of time in my stamp room. Now I get to visit on weekends! LOL
Cathy, WOW!! I don't remember, did someone say that you are a demo or not? It seems like the answer was no. How in the world did you do this? What a dream stamp room! My question is did you purchase all those iris carts at once or did you accumlate them over time?
AWESOME ROOM!!

I have seen one even better. Wish I had bookmarked the pictures. This very, very wealthy woman had 3 stamp rooms (one on each floor of her home) and all had a wall of windows overlooking the ocean. Each room had the identical products so she would not have to go to another floor to get something. She bought 3 of every stamp etc. and had room for literally dozens of friends to stamp with her. Each room was done with a gorgeous tile floor and totally custom outfitted built in cabinents for her things. I know a woman who stamped there once and she gave each person who came for the little party the entire sets of stamps and products they used for the evening. This woman has died and gone to heaven, IMO!!
Angie - yes, I am a Stampin' Up! demo but only on a hobby level.
Whew - I finally made it back. I don't know where the last two months went but it went fast! I tried getting back here but was having problems signing on and was trying to get a new password but that didn't work well at all. I think I'm all set up now and have a password I might actually be able to remember!

I love that room! And, having 2 cats of my own who rule the house (when my 1 1/2 year old son isn't chasing them...), I appreciate the cats draped on everything! Something to aspire to, for sure!! Thanks for sharing your room, Cathy!!
My friend, Beth Baker, contacted you about your room! She thought you wonderful! Anyway, she now has her room with wall to wall iris', just like you, and LOVES it!
OMG OMG OMG! (I couldn't help but think of those seagulls in Finding Nemo - "mine, mine, mine, mine"). I admittedly have about 600 square feet of stamping space (unfinished area in the basement), but I don't have a 1/10 as much and this gal is organized. Look how much she spent on organizing stuff/carts alone. Jeepers! I'm in awe. Maybe I shouldn't be so overwhelmed with my meager stamp collection???
Thanks for the post...I hadn't seen this before, and now that we're finishing off the basement (into a "media room"), I can use it to "negotiate" a little nook for my stamping stuff. Woo hoo!

I also have seen this room. I can't put my hands on the magazine that it is in right now, but I think she is one of the artist for one of the magazines. My husband is building me a room right out the back, 12x16 size. When I get it done I will post some pictures. I love looking at everyones stamping rooms. Please post yours for everyone to enjoy. Anna
AWESOME Room, Cathy - and welcome
The next time my husband tells me he can't beleive how much craft stuff I have - i will have to show him your pictures
Seeing is believing, and I still can't believe what I saw!
 Wow!!!
I just love how the cats are comfy in there as well. How long did it take to assemble that room, and how many years of being into SU! and stamping? I would think a lifetime. And what a life!

Now you are all missing the point. BTW welcome Cathy!!!!!!!! But Cathy is now working a full time job. and her soon to be new best friend (ME)is free during the days and could just kinda "live" there when you are not using it. I called dibs first now gals hush up.
Just had to bookmark this page so when DH complains about me bringing home a NEW stampset, I can always say, but I don't have as many as Cathy yet

I e-mailed the link to my DH at work saying "What I really want for my birthday!" (In 2 weeks) He e-mailed back with a link to a cool sports car that he wants for his birthday (In 2 months). Then we joked about revoking the kids' allowances and renting them out as slaves, feeding them bread and milk for a year....
Maybe some day I'll get a room like this. I must say, though...I do think that is waaaaay too much stuff.
