I am going to be a demo at a crop on August 4th for Make A Wish here in Omaha, NE. They are having a free will donation bin for unused scrapbooking supplies. I am asking for donations for the croppers who make albums for the Make A Wish kids. I will be donating quite a bit of stuff myself but I was hoping all you fine ladies (and gents!) in the SCS community would be willing to chip in as well. The gals who make the albums for Make A Wish have a budget to stay on. This includes the cost of their album, paper, stickers, etc. Most of them don't ask to be reimbursed for their supplies. They do get their adhesive provided but still, the budget is extremely low for the work they do. A package of nice embellished stickers costs around $4.00. Most of them usually put 1 or 2 packages of those in because they cost so much. I was hoping I could take them a HUGE donation from the SCS community!
These are the following items I am requesting (These are the items that several of the Make A Wish croppers have said they use the most):
*Scrapbook paper themed for Disney (and anything related to a Disneyworld trip like Universal, Sea World, etc), sporting events (NFL, MLB, NBA,NHL, etc), Hawaii (and other tropical places), concerts, etc.
*Stickers for the same themes, alphabet stickers
*Cardstock (all colors)
*12x12 albums (if you donate an album, please also include an extra package of coordinating page protectors because they do not always know how many pictures they will have to crop and sometimes, they need extra protectors)
*Any embellishments (brads, eyelets, ribbon, fibers,buttons,etc)
Sensory type albums (all sizes) I know a while back they were looking for a furry album

I can donate some scrapbooking stuff, I am in serious need of paring some of my things down! My 12 year old daughter will donate some of her supplies, too! She and I did something like this for Make a Difference day (end of October,) but they were all the smaller size albums, it was a lot of fun! Thanks for doing this, Amy (I mean, Pro!)

I'll look tomorrow and see what I can safely cram into a Flat Rate Priority Box.....a wonderful reason to simplify, something I've been trying to do with my crafting supplies.

Yo Pro.....you have hit the motherload!!!!!
My cousin Jennifer thought she would get into scrapbooking....yeah, um, not so much. She has officially donated a buttload of goodies for ya!
I already have it packed in my suitcase, but here is what I remember.
2 12X12 Albums
TONS of paper
lots of stickers
a scapbook kit in a box that has over 800 pieces
2 smaller albums (cannot remember the size)
about 6 different scissors (like the Fiskar ones)
10 gellyroll pens
I'm sure there is more, so I will post the rest when I get back to Oregon.
I'm gonna send you the bill for my luggage being over 50lbs.
I have some disney stuff I can send ya! I have bought so many scrapbook kits when we have went to Disneyworld, and never use everything in them. I will go thru my stuff tomorrow.

Jeez, I wish you had posted this a few weeks ago... I just gave away a ton of stuff at the OR/WA Shoebox Swap... whatever was left over from the B/S/T table, I gave to the Senior Center. I would have preferred donating to Make-A-Wish... it's a group close to my heart.

Ohhh my goshhhh!!! I have to tell you that I have seen the Make a Wish albums that come out of Omaha/Nebraska and they are AWESOME! Those families come back from a trip and have such a great time. I see the snap shots they take. Then, the families come back and bring in the albums. I love looking at them. I can tell there is so much love, time and effort that goes into them. The families have such fun showing the albums and telling us again about the trips. (I work at a pediatric oncology clinic). I can drop off a pack of CM pages and page protectors in the next couple of weeks. Christy

Amy, The above post reminded me to ask you, what kind of 12 X 12 albums and page protectors are you asking for? SU, CM or whomever? I only have CM albums right now, except for SU small 6X6 albums, would you mind specifying what albums and pages, page protectors you want or does it matter? TIA!

Hubby and I are going back and forth if I should ebay or donate lots of stuff I haven't used as I try to pare down my area as its being turned into a nursery (yeah! we're adopting). Since I just don't want to deal with the bay, I'll get a box put together for you.
And if I can get to my storage unit, I've got albums and pages I will never use. Yes, too much stuff!
When do you need this by? I've got LOTS of stickers and paper. Is 8.5 x 11 paper okay or do you just want 12 x 12?
