a photo card?
I want to make our Christmas cards this year and will be using a 4"x6" photo. What size should the actual card be? and then there is the question about the envelopes...Where can I buy in bulk?

If you are using a digital picture they now come in a 4 x 5.3 inch size (true digital) which is just about perfect for making a normal 4 x 5.5 inch card. Very convenient!!

This year I am using 5X7 cards that I bought off of website. They are plain white and came with envelopes. I am not sure of the site, I actually ordered them from a friend. I plan on stamping the front and putting the picture inside. Not quite sure of the actual plan yet!

Last year I took a strip of 12" paper that was 4" wide and put the picture on that. I folded the "extra" paper in to make a small area to stamp/write on. Kind of like a small card on the side, but all attached as one piece of paper Sorry I don't have any pictures of it. It turned out really cute and fit in a regular sized envelope. They also went together really quick.

I make my Christmas photo cards 5x7 with a 4x6 or wallet sized photo on it. I buy my envelopes at envelopemall.com. They have great prices and service, plus lots to choose from. Here's a couple of my photo Christmas cards:
