the first card you ever stamped? I do and I thought it was SOOOOO awesome back then. I had never heard of stamping and I went to a workshop just because I was bored. I've learned so many new techniques since then and found my own style. I almost think it's ugly now- but to think- that is the card that got me hooked on this hobby!
I hated mine then and I still hate it but I wasn't addicted until I went to my first stamping store. Just looking at all of those rubber stamps. I had to start! After than my first project was July 4th party invites and boy were they simple! Although, I did use glitter!

Ps. If I can find it, I'll post. It could be a new challenge!!! Post our first stamping project!
I don't have them anymore. In fact I was so excited when I made them that I sent them right
out. Oh well. I do have some of my other first attempts that I did on my own, not at a workshop.
Yikes! Wow, let's just say I have come a long way....

I gave several of my 1st cards to my mom. She saved them all, so if I want them back, I'd be able to get them. Isn't my mom cute? It's just like when I was in school and brought home a new art class project
I don't have mine--that was when I used to send the cards I made to people. Now I make them and hoard them  Picture me stroking them and murmuring "My Preciousssss"
Linda, You are a hoot!
No, I was so excited that I sent them out right away. But remembering back, they were ssssssoooooo simple. I've grown alot and found my own style.

I started stamping right after we had our second child. I wanted to save money on Christmas gifts, so I decided to stamp my sister, stepmom, and sister-in-laws packs of cards. My sister sent me one about a year ago and I immediately called her and said, "DO NOT SEND OUT ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE CARDS!!!"
They were SO bad and I was SO embarassed  when I saw it. However, I take it with me to workshops and show everyone that stamping is a progressive work! LOL!
I don't have the first card I stamped but I do have the first card I made for a swap. It was right after I became a demo and hadn't been stamping long. It's not great but it's not too bad. I have it hanging behind my desk to remind me of when I first started.
I still have it and look at it once in awhile and think I have gotten better. Plus I love seeing how I have improved and all the techniques I have learned.
Now I make them and hoard them Picture me stroking them and murmuring "My Preciousssss"

Ok this is me LMHeadO  at that one! SOOO true! I still have some of my old ones (Ugh!) because I don't actually send them I just kept them to love on 'em! I just keep on impressing myself with how much better I've gotten and then put them in the vault! So crazy! Then if I need to send one, I use the older ones that, now, I don't like anymore.
I still have a couple that I made the day after my starter kit came - that was a couple weeks after I discovered stamping and it was the first time I tried designing my own cards. The only reason I still have them is because they're too dorky-looking to give away, but they're not quite awful enough to throw in the garbage. Maybe I'll do what some others have posted and put them up in my stamp area so I can see how far I've come. That's a great idea!
Don't know if I have my very first one, but I do have one that I made at a workshop about 5 years ago...it was so plain compared to what we do now! It had only one layer stamped with little flowers around the edge. SO plain, but I really liked it at the time. I want to use it at workshops to show people just how far we've come!

My first card was my daughter's birth announcements. I know more about stamping now - so of course I could improve it - but I have to say... I am pretty darn proud of it!
