Question Do you know any California stamp stores?

I'll be traveling to San Fransicso and Los Angeles the week after next for business. I am hoping to carve out some personal time since I'll be there for a full week. Any suggestions of stamping stores that I absolutely MUST visit in either city?

Thanks in advance!
Vicki

I don't know of any in those particular cities, but some in the vicinity of each. The Bay Area has a great stamp store called Stampers Warehouse which is located in Danville. There are a few scrapbook stores here and there in the Bay Area, but nothing to really shout about. In LA, I don't know of any specifically stamping stores, but there are a bunch of scrapbook stores I know of. My favorite is Scrapbook Depot in Los Alamitos. My mom also knows of a ton of them (she and I are big scrappers) that I can find out where they are. The only problem is that they're all a drive from where you'll be specifically and I don't know how much time you have in each place. PM me if you want directions to each place or for addresses, or if you want me to hit my mom up for a list of her favorite places in the LA area.

Hi! My absolutely favorite stamp / scrapbooking store in CA is California Stampin' in Pleasanton, CA. It is north of San Francisco. The address of the store is 5480-2 Sunol Blvd., Pleasanton, CA They also have a web site, www.castampin.com. HTH
I also did a search on "stamp stores" + california, and there is quite a bit of stuff listed.

HTH:smile:

There used to be a wonderful store in Aliso Viejo, south of LA. It was called Sparkles. I moved 5 years ago so you might want to do a search.

Unfortunately Sparkles closed over a year ago due to the owners Moms illness. So sad, it was the ONLY stamp store around here!!!! I would have loved to have taken it over!!!

Thanks for the suggestion! I had forgotten about them and I know I ordered from them via the web. I did a search for stamp stores as well and the list was long. I thought I'd ask you knowledgable friends which places are worth visting since they may be quite a drive. I know I'll have to drive to wherever I go but I'll be bummed out if I drive an hour for a teeny tiny store, KWIM?

Thanks again!
Vicki

Actually, if you drive out to this store, Stampers Warehouse in Danville isn't too far from there. And Pleasanton/Livermore have a few scrapbook stores. That one wasn't around when I lived in Livermore, but there's a fairly decent scrapbook store in Pleasanton. I was spoiled when I was younger because there are really great scrap stores in So Cal in the LA area, so I could find whatever I wanted. But, I've spent my entire married life in No Cal and have had to search for stores out here. Finally we're starting to get some (just in time for me to move! ;) ).

In the Los Angeles area I go to a store in Claremont on Harvard St. Claremont is a cute little town you'll just fall in love with. There are many places to eat and shop that you could spend a whole day there. Anyways, the stamp store is called Stamp your Heart Out and right next door is a scrapbook store owned by the same people. They have great things in both of them. Have a great trip!

I agree with the recommendation about Stamper's Warehouse in Danville, it is very complete. I haven't been to the one in Pleasanton, I will have to go. There is also a very nice stamping/scrapping store (who's name escapes me now - drat menopause!) on 4th Street in Berkeley. It is a very nice area to shop in just off University Ave. (up the street from Spengers restaurant).
