Default Do I need a new ink pad?

Right before SU let everyone know what colors they were retiring this past year I bought a brand new Bliss Blue ink pad. Well, then they go and change it to Bashful Blue. I don't really want to buy a new ink pad (cheap, yes!) and I wanted to know if anyone had tried re-inking the Bliss with a Bashful re-inker? Would it be that big of a deal? Or do I just need to bite the bullet and get a new ink pad? Thanks!

I personally think you could just reink it, the colors are close enough that it will gradually get lighter with a little time and use and then be the same color as bashful blue! It would probably be really pretty as it transforms through time, also! I say go for it, but I am not a perfectionist, so that may have something to do with my opinion!

I have been thinking of doing the same thing myself. But I would take paper towels and try to get some of the Bliss Blue out of the pad first then re-ink. Then we can spend the money we saved on other goodies. Right?

Fine, but if you are using it to demo...............well then.............maybe it might be better to invest in a new pad that says the right color name!

Thanks for the advice guys! I'm just a customer so I think I will just go ahead and get the Bashful re-inker. That way I can use that money to get another re-inker!

I did it with Pixie pink and Positively pink and was going to do it with bashfull blue as well. I still have too much eggplant cs to transform my eggplant ink just yet. It's worked out fine so far.

I had the Bliss Blue inkpad before they changed the color and bought Bashful Blue last fall and there's not much difference in ink color. I was a little disappointed by this, if I'd known I would have spent the money on another color inkpad.

I hadn't thought of this idea. Was just planning on buying the new colors, but I'm cheap too. You guys are geniuses - I'm glad I spotted this thread!
