Gimp is free, and does many of the same things that Photoshop does - if you feel like learning a really professional tool, I'd definitely give that a try!

Also take a peek at the Graphics Fairy Blog - she has amazing free art for personal use that you can play with in Gimp.

Then there are the myriad of fantastic digital stamping companies - if you click Gallery, then Company Galleries, and look at our directory at the bottom, I've marked the companies that provide digital images with a "D" after their name.

We have lots of people on the site who do beautiful digital and hybrid work, so search those terms in the gallery and you'll see what programs they use too.

Hope some of that is helpful

I use alot of my digital scrapbooking kits for my card making. You can also buy templates to use with your program ( when you find one- I use Scrapbook Max- around $40.00 or so) .

Here are some stores I go to
Scrap Orchard
Gotta Pixel
The DigiChicks( really good for templates and super cute digi kits). They also sell Basic Grey digital kits now

Good luck and have fun

I use digital elements in my cards quite a bit, and I'm also on a mac

I use photoshop elements 6, which I love. The newest version, elements 9, sells for about $70 but there are some rebates going on now that you can get $20 off.

You can also use Word.

Here's what you do in Word:

open a new document, then from the dropdown

insert > picture > from file

find what you want and put it in the page

then if you want to resize it,

format > picture > size

let us know if you have aqny other questions, and good luck!
