I ordered some of the colored cardstock, some ribbon and a sentiment stamp set. I am not a fan of Papertrey's white cardstock because of its chalk white color and cheap looking appearance. I like quality cardstock and would feel ashamed to send a card to someone made from the white cardstock. I do like the weight of it though, but I will not buy it again. I am hoping that I will like the colored cardstock, but I only ordered a small quantity to check it out.
I too find that PTI lacks in the customer service department in that they are slow to respond and do not really serve their customers. I had a small issue with them in reporting a Palette Ink pad that was dry, and they instructed me to send it back. Well, that would cost almost as much as the ink pad and was hardly worth the trouble. I never bothered to report the nicely dented cardstock that was sent to me because I am sure what their slow response would be.
Now, I am wondering why I bothered ordering from them again. I guess I am influenced by the hype on this board.
I checked out the PTI website as a result of this thread. I have several things in my cart (enough to get free shipping, and then some). Before I decide to click submit, I was wondering:
There are several categories that when I click on them, I get the page describing the cardstock, but nothing to actually click on. Are those items that will be there in the future?
Also, I found lots of colors of ink pads, but only two colors of cs and ribbon; the aqua mist and the spring moss. I also saw white cs. Are these the only colors they currently have available, or am I missing something?

Yes, currently they only have 2 colors of cardstock (plus white) and ribbon available -- they're brand new this month: aqua mist and spring moss.

They carry the full Palette line of ink pads- so there are lots of colors. But aqua mist and spring moss are exclusive PTI colors, there will be more later, but right now there are just these 2.

I guess quality, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. I think that PTI's white cs is incredibly high quality. I save it for "special" cards for the people I love most and who appreciate my cards. I'm proud to use it!:-D
I haven't ordered anything from PTI and probably won't, never say never though. I do love all the excitement that leads up to the new sets etc. and seeing the beautiful samples/projects created for the big event! SO FUN!
I agree PTI cardstock is wonderful and definitely high quality. I can't believe anyone would think it isn't, but we are all entitled to our opinions. I have had nothing but wonderful customer service from PTI and love buying from them!
I absolutely love the papertrey white to watercolor on. The color goes on beautifully and looks so elegant.
I use the white mostly for this, but did make my DH a valentine card with it since it also embosses so great.
I love, love, love papertrey.
I haven't bought anything yet because I have trying to cut back on my spending & bought 12 PTI stamp sets since December. BUT I will be getting at least the aqua mist paper, ink, PP & ribbon. And I plan on buying Everyday Blessings for my friend Rochelle who I know will love it & I might even buy one for myself. And I might get the Polka Dot set.
Oops. I just went back and bought another stamp set (the cake one), the two new inks and two of the ribbons. ;) BUT.. in my defense, I just had Ebates deposit $38+ into my PayPal account for money earned from money spent for FREE so I had to spend it (plus a few more dollars).

I bought everything in the new colors and the polka dot set. I too LOVE Papertrey's white cardstock! It's interesting to see such different opinions because I couldn't imagine ever feeling ashamed to send a card made with it!

Me too! I use Su's whisper white, and other brands for non special projects and use PTI's when I have a gift or card to make. To each his own.
