So does anyone know the drill?? Are they doing classes and M&T's the rest of the day? I know a big announcement is coming tomorrow, but is there likely to be more announcements today?
Can't believe someone already had that stuff on the bay. Well they always do don't they, but still. I agree, hope they're available all over the place so they feel like twits.

My downline just called. Shelli's on stage demoing the new Decor Elements.
The next DE brochure will be out in August!! It will include Ginormous Flowers & Nursery Necessities (blk, choc chp, white only), as well as:
- Spooky Spider - Halloween set that on 8/1 only demos attending Convention can buy for $10.95 (no fair no fair waaaaaaah!)
- an Advent Calender !! Shelli is doing a long demo to attach the DE to some small boxes & put them together in a frame made from molding...so that you can reuse it every year....
- Shelli also demo'd putting DE on a book cover. Stressing that DE isn't only for walls!!
My downline is taking pics as she can. If she sends them to me, I'll upload & let you all know.

well, someone on the bay already has the tote, camera case and purse key finder up for bids. And they are high. All I can say is I hope they are available after convention so the buyers will feel like twits!

Yup, classes and M&T's the rest of the day. I think that's it for the big announcements today-- I think awards is tonight, but they don't usually make announcements then.
Tomorrow's schedule is the same-- gen session in the morning, classes in the afternoon... Saturday will be classes in the am and a closing gen session in the pm. SU sometimes makes a big announcement last thing, so that may be an exciting afternoon! (No inside info, just speaking from experience!)

Thanks Belinda. I was thinking awards were on the last night for some reason. Can't wait for tomorrow's big announcement. How to get through the day and actually sleep tonite. Well, think I'll go try to get some things done. I'll check back later. Hugs to all

Hello! I lived in Flint for 38 years, until we moved to Austin 10 years ago. We just were back there over the 4th of July to see see family in Fenton, Mt. Morris and Flint. Small world.
I don't think they'll cut off the first brochure so quickly. SU invested a LOT of money in the machine that makes these, so I think they'll want to sell all they can before moving on. Remember that each new DE requires its own design stage, review, quality check, review, then sending to whoever is making the custom dies for SU, then get the die back & test it, send back to mfr if doesn't work properly, etc... ONLY THEN can SU even start making any art using the design - samples, pictures.....THEN SU can put a brochure together. It can be a long time from start to finish!!
JMO---so don't blast me ~ hehehe...BUT
I would think that non-demos reading this thread would be more apt to want to become a demo. Reading some of the "Top Secret" (hehehe) info could push fence-riding non-demos over to OUR side---Ooooo...I sound so "cult-like"---you are under my power...just put this stamp in your hand & you are mine---**evil laugh** :cool: ~ Punchy Smiles ~ Kelli
At the bottom of Angie's entry for today, there is a link to click and Angie has some great pics from her Riverton tour. She noticed lots of little sneak peeks and took up-close pics of some great ideas!
Not to be a pest or anything, but there hasn't been anything new on no-chatter thread for a long time. Nothing interesting going on, or is it just too hard for convention-goers to find a minute to send info? I've never experienced this before so I just don't know. I love seeing all of the new stuff and I know there are interesting announcements to hear more about!

The convention goers are out of the General Session and in classes in the afternoons. All of the news is given in the GS in the mornings. We won't get much more today. Maybe pictures of make & takes or something like that, but that's about it.

As of this fall we will have even more home decor rub ons and in COLOR!!!! They have a line of flowers, a countdown to Christmas, Spooky halloween spider, and a season of love that will all be brand new along with apparently more suprises!

Okay...I might be opening myself up to a whole can of worms but I guess I'm still confused as to what the issue is with them selling the totes, etc. on Ebay. As long as it's not stamp sets that haven't been releasesd yet I didn't think it mattered. Or does it??

Also Brent Steele mentioned that at some point in August some of the new sets would go on sale, including the new camping set with a skeeter wheel. I don't know if it is strictly for demos or for customers as well....

Can anyone tell me if there is any liquid applique in the new catty? or a stamp set similar to like it a latte???? Coffee mugs, foam, etc???

I haven't heard anything about liquid applique. There is a breakdown of the new sets in the catty spoilers thread. I don't recall seeing a coffee related set.
