Default Damaged chalk ink

I purchased the Earth and Regals chalk pad a couple of months ago, but just opened it last night. The red pad has come off its pie shaped holder! Can I glue it back on, or will the glue seep up into the ink? Other options? Thanks.

Default Chalk Pads

Blue Moon,

If you bought the ones from SU, they are designed to come off the petal shaped holder. That way you can use only one color if you wish.

HTH,

Kathy

I think Blue Moon means that the red pad has come off its pie-shaped holder -- not that the pie-shaped assembly removes from the round holder.

I have exactly the same problem. The red pad is all loose -- held on by just one tiny bit. If you figure out how to repair, please post!

Yes, that is what happened. The red pad has completely come off its holder. Can't use it unless I want to get red chalk ink all over my fingers.

Try doing a forum search. There was a thread about this not too long ago. I think you can glue them back on.

Yes, it is. It comes in metal tubes.

My red also was almost completely off when I opened mine (must be that strong ink they use in the red ...).

I rang SU and they said it shouldn't have happened and sent me a new one straight away and I just returned the "dud" one. My new one is great and I'm stamping like a crazy woman with them!!!

Default Loose ink pads and glue

Hi,

I find my colorbox (including petal points) come off the box frequently - I use Crafter's Ultimate glue and it works great - only comes off once! No problems with it seaping through to the top either!

api's Crafter's pick THE ULTIMATE! I've seen it at alot of of craft stores. It can be seen online at www.crafterspick.com

Water based super glue. Adheres to metal, plastic, glass and more. Dries clear (so says the label.) But it really works well with the ink pads.

E6000 is great too - but you can't buy it in Canada anymore unless you find old stock in a store - danger to your health or something.

Thanks everyone for your help. I have an e mail into my demonstrator about returning/replacing the damaged pad. But ,I will probably try reattaching the pad with super glue as I have some here at the house. Thanks again.
