Just to be safe, there are sprays you can purchase that makes things acid free. Maybe you would want to use that. Then you'd have lots of free cereal chipboard!

Here's one:

Hi. I know this is an old post, but I am also interested in knowing this answer.

Thanks!

Me, too! My kids eat so much cereal that it is much less expensive in the bags. Guess I'll have to treat them to Fruit Loops or something, just so I can get the box!

I have done this and you need the deep cut blade with cartridge. Setting depends on the thickness of the box. I have found that depending on the box it might not take such a high #. I usually just use the highest settings and have had no problem.

I take the boxes and cut them the size of my cricut cutting pads, that way I have a stack ready to go.

But now I am going to save some to make gift boxes out of too

Yes, Cricut now has a "Deep Cut Blade Housing" unit that will cut chipboard, magnet sheets and thicker materials according to the package. Mine came with a free deep cut blade. Haven't even taken it out of the package yet. At the same time, I bought a package of Cricut Cuttables Stamp Sheets (which you use with the deep cut blades) to cut out your own stamps. There are 2 6" square sheets in the package with a storage pouch. Again, haven't tried it yet, but am looking forward to it, when I get some extra time to play with it. Has anyone out there tried the stamp sheets yet, and if so, how did they work for you?

Default notebooks

I found some where on the internet another thing you can do with ceraal boxes, etc. Since I suffer from CRS (can' remember stuff) I don't know where I saw this.

Take the ceraal box front and back, cut them to size and put notebooke paper (post-it paper, etc) inside. Bind this with your bind-it-all. You now have a covered notebook that collage kids recycle and sell for their clubs.

I have tried to find the correct directions and keep getting refered to a collage in Michigan or Minn? and one out east that does this as their "GREEN FUND" money making project. There was a question about copyright. I don't know the answer.

If it keeps things out of the landfills and you would throw it out anyways?????

The example used large ceraal boxes with notebook paper and the bind-it-all machine with the wires. I tried it with smaller ceraal boxes and post-it paper and love it. Decorate with ribbon if you want. Wish I could find the directions, but I can't.

Apparently collage kids love these notebooks. The collage keeps boxes out of landfills and makes money.

When DHL stopped doing deliveries, someone in my office threw out a whole stack of the cardboard envelopes. I have enough "chipboard" to last a lifetime.

Oh my gosh everyone is full of ideas. And they are all just adorable finished products. Can't wait to see what I can get into tonight. I will probably just take everything out the boxes and leave the bags in the pantry...wonder what kind of comment I will get from the husband on this one..
