I was looking at the color wheel the other day with a friend and we both agreed that we didn't like the suggested matching colors for Taken with Teal -- Tempting Turqoise, Certainly Celery and Apricot Appeal. (We like all of those colors but don't see them going with Taken with Teal.)
I told her that I had a group of experts at my disposal and I'd ask them -- you -- what other colors go well with Taken with Teal. Any suggestions? TIA!

I am definitely NOT an expert but I have been using a lot of Teal lately. It goes great with Rose Red and Chocolate Chip (I got that from the catalog) and recently there was a great color challenge with Old Olive, Teal and Eggplant and that was fabulous!!
I Love it with Real Red and Brilliant Blue. Actually I think it goes great with most of the Bold Brights even though it's not in the Bold Brights family!!
I attached a scrapbook page using the first color combo.
My favorite Teal combo is Teal, Black and Silver... it is so elegant. The teal looks especially nice when embossed on with the silver embossing powders and layered on the Brushed silver cardstock.
A few other favorites...
Teal, Night of Navy, So Saffron
Teal, Eggplant, Chocolate Chip
Teal, Summer Sun, Rose Red, Ballet Blue

That's so funny! I was just going to say Apricot Appeal! Here's a card I made for VSN one month. I just loved the colors together. I was unpacking an order and had stacked up a bunch of ink pads (Taken with Teal, Apricot Appeal, Pixie Pink and Certainly Celery) and I really liked the way they looked together! The VSN challenge was to put 4 colors from 4 different color families together so that's why the Not Quite Navy is thrown in there!

Did you try doing a search in the gallery for Teal? I bet you'd find a lot of awesome stuff pop up! Just a thought.

I was doing a one sheet wonder the other night with the Simple Sketches stamp set which has 3 step stamping. I used cool carribean, tempting turquoise & not quit navy on the butterfly, then stamped that really small flower stamp from RIW using cameo coral. I used the spritzer with navy and mounted this onto taken with teal. I really liked the results.
Even though you think you don't like the combo from the color wheel, I would suggest trying it. I've found that they look better than you would think in real life.
Oh, I absolutely LOVE the colors from the wheel! Try it out once and see what you think. Here is a card I did using teal, turquoise, lilac, celery and a little apricot... Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I also just did today's catty-case challenge using teal, pumpkin and celery and was really pleased with the results... Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

I did think about doing a search in the gallery, Jenny. And I actually did one. But first off, I got distracted by the designs and ended up not really paying attention to the colors. LOL! But also, I really wanted to hear people's opinions about their favorite color combos as well.
Indyemmert -- that's exactly what my friend said, that we should try the color combo from the wheel, I mean. And I think I will do that as well. But it was really great to get all these suggestions here, too!

I stamped a note cube with Teal, Apricot & Celery. It turned out great. It's in my gallery, but not sure if you can view it or if it's on the Demo-only side. I didn't use Turquoise with it though.

One of my favorite combos is taken with teal, summer sun, b. black and white!
I also adored some cards made with taken with teal and the new cool carribean with celery as an accent. They were all made with the Terrific Tulips stamp set.
I am not that familiar with SU colors because I use CTMH but I recently made a card with teal and a sort of plum purple. I really liked the color combination, you might too. You can take a look at it in my gallery. It is called "It's all about the ribbon". I would post the link to it in this message, but I don't know how to do that. At least a link to my gallery will be here.

I opened a bag of Pirates of the Caribbean-themed M&Ms and saw Taken With Teal, Not Quite Navy, Orchid Opulence and Real Red...I actually wrote it down so I could try it out...needless to say, my boss called me a nerd!

I have only made one card that I could find with Taken With Teal and it was using it with Certainly Celery and I loved it, I love Certainly Celery with pretty much every color!
I will definitely be trying some of these color combos, expecially Taken with Teal, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa and Creamy Caramel! That looks beautiful!
