Okay, so we've heard so much about using the BG stamps with the brayers lately, so I'm sure all you smart ladies have figured out a great way to clean the BG stamps and rubber brayer. I've tried rubbing both on my stamp scrub and the BG stamps are just big enough that I can't move it around very well. If I roll the brayer on there, it doesn't get very clean either. I usually end up spraying the stampin' mist on a paper towel and then cleaning both that way, but the paper towel gets shredded pretty fast cleaning the BG stamps. How do you guys clean them so they both get clean?? :???:

I clean my BG stamps at the kitchen sink. I am usually stamping at home or a customer's home. It works best for me. I use a paper towel to blot off the excess water. I then give it a rub on the dry side of my stamp cleaner to remove any paper towel residue. This works best for me. It works for the brayer too.
Yup, I head to the kitchen sink as well. I do clean BG stamps with a baby wipe if I am going to stamp again in a similar or darker color, but usually just go to the kitchen and clean them with detergent and the retired bottle brush!
I use a damp old terry cloth towel, folded and laid on a flat tray. The old towel is loopy enough to get into the grooves of the stamp, but not so loopy that it leaves lint. For stubborn ink I go to the sink. Then I dry them on a dry old terry towel.
For the brayer I just roll it back and forth on on the wet towel, then on the dry towel.

I bought paint edger replacement pads at Lowe's/Home Depot. THey are the same material as the stamp and scrub but you can rub them all over. Very inexpensive too!
I use my scrub for both, and they do get clean. The top of the scrub is slightly bigger than the bottom, and so I use that side as the "wet" side for cleaning. When cleaning the brayer, I keep it in the handle and hold it still with my finger, sort of sliding it sideways (end to end) as I rub it on the scrubbing pad.

I get as much ink off as possible on scrap then I rinse the brayer off in the sink. I spray mist on the bg stamp then swish it on the scrub pad. I usually have an old towel in my stamp room so I finish with that if its not clean after the stampin scrub. I've been known to run them under a slow running faucet as well then dry immediately too..
Kitchen sink for me too! A quick rinse is all you need for all colors except black or brown, but with Craft inks I use a little of my orange cleaner and a toothbrush.
Leslie,
I was so happy to see your post. I knew I had seen the Stamp 'n Scrub material somewhere before, but I just couldn't put my finger on it and thanks to you I can once again sleep at nights...lol You're absolutely right. Paint edger replacement pads ARE very similar!
