I just joined this site and have been amazed with all the wonderful cards people are posting. You are all a great inspiration. Now for my question:
I'm looking in this week's Limited Supplies challenge and I notice several cards with ovals or circles with a scalloped edge. Some are solid colors and some are designs. Is this a punch you are using, and if so, where can I get one? They give the card such a great look.
There are two quick & easy ways - Nestabilities die cuts from Spellbinders (my fave, but you need to have a die cutting machine) or Marvy Uchida punches (also a great option, just bulkier). HTH!

thanks!
Stampin Up has a scalloped circle punch.
Marvy Uchida punches are the other choice. Papertrey stamps www.papertreyink.com sells all the sizes and shapes: ovals, circles, squares, rectangles, hearts.
I'm not familiar with Nestabilities. Will it work in a Sizzix orignal die cut machine? If not, I'm off to Joann's to get the punch.
Thanks for the information.
yes I have the sizzix and have used the nestabitlities dies in it... you need the adapter and some shims to make it work correctly... Ellen has some great charts for the correct formulas to use it in the most popular die machines on her blog... http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/ellen...ies/index

Here's another way...no punch needed, but you do need a decorative edger. Technique works for an oval, square, rectangle or circle.
I have the nestabilities and a sizzix. I am having problem's with the larger dies not wanting to cut on it and also it doesn not emboss at all with it. They say the sizzix will work with it and I am doing exactly as the directions say. Anyone have any suggestions?
