Default Carol Duvall - Embossing on Velvet today

Did anyone see Carol Duvall this morning? She has the lady from "Hot Potatoes" on. She embossed on velvet ribbon and then sewed them onto denim jackets and jeans. SO cute!

Default stamping on velvet

Has anyone stamped on velvet using Stampin' Up stamps? I bought the hot potato book and the author claims her stamps are made with special glue, but I was wondering if anyone has tried this method using other stamps.

I just participated in a swap here and sent out 14 little velvet jewelry bags. Used All The Best and AYC1.
The most important thing is to test the velvet. Had them all cut out only to find what I bought was not going to work.
Yes, the glue will melt and the rubber will slide if you keep the iron on too long.
I decided to not use Wonderful Words as was too little rubber.
I also learned actually needs very little water spray. Did use a teflon sheet I bought at JoAnn. Helped save the iron.
When I brought a sample in to work got lots of oohs and aahs.
