Default Card Sizes

This will likely sound rediculous but I am fairly new to this whole card making thing. I am wondering if someone has a list of card sizes...like C3 is this dimension or whatever. I see tonnes of posts this way and have no idea what size they are.

Most of the cards are 5 1/4" x 8 1/2" and then fold in half to make it 5 1/4" x 4 1/4". So you would get two cards out of one sheet of cardstock. Some cards are 3x3, 4x4 or even 5x5. Most of the time if it is something other than 5 1/4 x 4 1/4 the person posting will let you know the dimensions. I hope that answered what you were asking.

Hopefully the link below will help. It lists different sizes of envies according to type - such as A-2, A-6 or whatever. I believe that is what you were asking for. HTH

The standard size is really 5.5 x 4.25. That is 1/2 of an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper and goes in an A2 envelope.

This might be more information than you need, Carrie, but the envelope guide from About.com is pretty extensive. Since I like making odd sized cards, I like that it also includes the maximum enclosure size along with the actual envelope size.
