Sorry no such thing in Canton Ohio, Smithville is quite a drive but there is the one in Hartville that you noted, and one down in Zoar.
Home of The Pixie Cottage stamps is near *Waynesburg Ohio, but we are online only.
Are you coming for the fair? LOL. Cannot think of anything else that is going on at this time? You should have more luck in Cleveland and on the way there when looking for stamp stores.
You have to check out Hollo's in Brunswick. Awesome deal on cardstock by the lb. and everything in between. There is also an Archivers in Fairlawn and a Pat Catans. Also Archivers in North Olmstead and Patcatans all over by Cleveland. All this can be found googling here on the internet. Hope this helps
And BTW, I have customers that drive from much further than 30 minutes to come and shop and a lot of them are from Cleveland! I had 2 customers attend Copic class just last week... one from Findlay and another from Cambridge! (Just in case you're wondering if it's worth that long drive, Regina!)

I drive in from Ravenna! Admittedly, not very often. But then, I do enough damage the times I do! Right around an hour or so drive. Well worth it, and I'm about due for another trip. I so wanted to come for a few classes that you had this summer, but they always seemed to be on a day when I had something else scheduled! :( One of these times, I'll be free.

In Alliance Ohio right outside Canton Ohio there is a store called Scrapbooking by Lisa, this is Lisa's largest LSS- she also has one near where I live in Wintersville, Ohio. The one in Alliance isn't but 15 minutes from Canton following Rt 62 out of Canton towards Alliance. Alliance is a small city really just a large town.
2500 West State Street, Alliance, OH - (330) 680-4501 (I believe State St. is an exit off 62. I Love her smaller store so hopefully her larger store will be better.
There is a Pat Catons in N Canton off Whipple also.
After years of living in Canton Area these are the only ones I really know about but Alliance is really close to Canton and N Canton is really easy to navagate. Good Luck!!
Thank you ladies for your input. I did bookmark Hollo and Pat Catan's along with Toyrifix. I'll check out the other recommended places also.
My husband's working in Canton next week so I'm tagging along. The Courtyard we're staying in is actually in North Canton. We're getting there on Tues. and leaving Friday evening. I figure I'll hit the stamp stores on Tues. or Fri. when I have to kill time before checking in or out of the hotel or possibly on Thurs. On Wed., I'm heading to Cleveland for the day and I would like to check out the Pro Football Hall of Fame one of those days.
Go to Akron the Fairlawn/Montrose area only 20 minutes away from Canton my friends drive up all the time from Canton. There is a Archivers and Hobby lobby right next to each other, a Pat Catans (discount craft store) 5 minutes down the road . Oh yeah tons of places to eat and a really nice Mall. The paper Hollo is great but it is a bit of a drive.
I think a 30 minute drive to Toyrifix is worth it. The first time I went I told hubby to wait in the car. My thought was there could not be much to see since it is in a toy store with a stamp area. About 45 minutes later DH came in looking for me because he thought I had been kidnapped. I will say the stamp area is smallish but it is packed with some great product and samples. DH could not believe I could wander around in there for 45 minutes. But hey, good things can come in small packages.
Lunch at the Barn (a nearby restaurant) is really good too!

Let me know when you're coming, Regina! I'd love to meet you and show you my fabulous stamp store!
I'll probably try to make it over your way on Tues. afternoon. Gotta drop the moneymaker (DH) off at his job site, then I'll be free to roam the countryside.
Sorry Tammy I didn't mean to infer it wasn't worth the drive. I have never been there. I think if it is the Smithville out past Wooster it is about 45 minutes from where I used to work on route 77. I think "far" is such a subjective term. To me that is far, to others it isn't.
Yes if you are going to be near chocolate that is certainly a "can't miss"!!
The cutest & friendlist LSS in NE Ohio, IMHO, is Bee Scrappy, just off the square in Medina! I have a ball everytime I go in and they have great finds! Enjoy!
I have to agree that Toyriffix is the best little stamp store. I live in Hartville which is about 50 minutes away and still believe it is totally worth the drive!

I had nice visit with Tammy at Toyrifix today. It was worth the drive through some beautiful countryside.
I also made it to Cottage Stampers in Hartville and enjoyed my time there.
Went to Hollos but it was eh experience. The staff wasn't as friendly as the others I met today. I don't know if it's because of the drive to get there or I was just shopped out by the time I got there, I just didn't think it was worth my time for what I found there.
Don't know if I'll make it to any others, except maybe Pat Catan's because I have a pretty full schedule the rest of the week.

Thank you ladies for your suggestions.
It was great to meet you yesterday, Regina!
Hollo's can be hit or miss.... they're not really big on customer service there! LOL I think it just depends on their mood, the time of day, which day, etc. I think those of us that are used to it tend to overlook their surliness. Being your first time there, you are justified in feeling like they didn't care whether you were there or not! ;)

Smithville is east of Wooster, so probably not as far as you think.
