Does anyone have any suggestions for how to make sure I stamp wooden stamps straight? I've looked into buying a Fiskars Stamp Press but not sure if it works for wood-backed stamps, plus I'm from Canada and shipping from the States is nuts!
Get a stamp-a-ma-jig. It's a stamp positioner that will easily solve your problems and I'm pretty sure they are easy to find in Canada. They are inexpensive and work very well. I've read some pretty bad review on the Stamp Press so I never tried it.

Thanks for any suggestions.
Thank you, stamphappy1650! I appreciate your advice.
If you want to PM me your address, I'll send you my SAMJ - I bought a MISTI and all of my stamps are bare rubber or photopolymer, so I probably won't use it any more...
and while you're waiting, here's a great tutorial on how to use your new toy. (It's a fabulous tool!)
(what a sweetie you are, Sue. made my day!)
ETA: It's just a coincidence that the person doing the video is also a jean. It's not me. Also, there are lots of videos floating out there with fun tips about the SAMJ tool (and it's not only an SU! item), so once you get familiar with it, it will be fun to scope those out, too.
