I have never heard of these stamps? I would love to investigate further, but it is a secret....... my DH would flip if he thought I found another place to get stamps, lol. I am so very addicted. (Pretty soon he will be sending me off for rehab!)
CTMH (Close to My Heart) is a party-plan type company similar to Stampin Up. The major difference is that their stamps are made of clear polymer and are unmounted. To use them you temporarily stick them on clear acrylic mounting blocks (they are self-sticking) and then after cleaning you store them in a sleeve-type holder. CTMH is also more geared to scrapbooking. www.closetomyheart.com I think is the url.
TAC (The Angel Company) also has unmounted stamps, but theirs are rubber, not the polymer kind. With these you also temporarily mount them on clear acrylic blocks. They also have papers and other products, some exclusive to them, some available in many places.
There are reps from both of these companies here on SCS; I imagine it won't take long to hear from them, lol. If you don't, check with each company to find a local demo.
theangelcompany.net Yep....I started out buying SU! stamps and then through SCS got interested in TAC and when I recieved the first catty I was blown away and became a demo right away. I like how the stamps are deeply etched because they make nice crisp images. The unmounted system is great for me (personally) because I don't have alot of storage space. And the ink is fabulous....which we were just discussing in another thread! HTH!
Yep www.closetomyheart.com is the website, once you get there you can select the tab that says products and you can look at the items that we have available. The entire product line is now available.

Also, Close to My Heart evolved from D.O.T.S. It was the first home party I ever attended. Then I went to a SU. Now, this is where the demonstrator can make a BIG difference. The first party..........the demonstrator was very stingy to the hostess. The SU party she gave her every card she demoed that night. I immediately decided to become a SU demonstrator. And the fact that SU had soooooooooo many versatile stamps & sets. DOTS had mostly single stamps. Much more expensive and mostly cutesy. JMO
Just a little history. Now, I'm talking probably 10 years ago. That was before SU we went with strictly their own stamps, paper & inks. They had other peoples stamps in their catty.
I like having a few companies to choose from, sometimes I see a set (or a few sets) that just appeal to me from other companies. I have wish lists with all three companies (and a few online ones too!)

What is the difference between polymer and the rubber. I have TAC stamps now but not the polymer?
Here is a website that discusses their polymer stamps. They are clear plastic (I think). The ones I've used -- not CTMH -- are thin and pliable. When you mount them to a clear acrylic block you can see right through to the paper. I'm not a huge fan because I find it hard to get them to lay straight on the block -- they are kind of stretchy -- and I am lazy. http://www.newstampontheblock.com/

Close To My Heart stamps are clear, acrylic polymer. There are different qualities of clear stamps, and one needs to compare them. Some of the better ones are Technique Tuesday, Stampedous, and, of course, CTMH<G> I purchased some Anna Griffin and Donna Dewberry ones from QVC and they are terrible! They are so thin they are extremely hard to place. The thicker ones are much easier. All I could think of was gummy worms when I was trying to work with the AG & DD ones. I finally got mad and threw them in the garbage. <G>
Hi, my two closest friends are both demos... one for CTMH and one is SU, so I use the stamps from both companies. I find that while the clear acrylic ones from CTMH are great because you can see through them, they don't produce the fine detailed images that SU or TAC does. I mostly use the CTMH ones for scrapbooking because the alphabets and images are easy to do titles with, but for cards I prefer the fine detail that I get from the rubber stamps (SU).
I also bought some of those clear ones (Anna Griffin and others) from OVC and hate them. They are flimsy and very hard to get straight on the block. The CTMH ones are much firmer and easier to place on the block.
The SU and rubber stamps are also much easier to clean than the acrylic. The acrylic ones tend to come off the block if they are thin when I clean them.
CTMH has recently though come out with in their new catalog some really cute stamps ( I love the nutcracker) so they are well worth checking out.
To find out more about TAC check out their website at www.theangelcompany.net and to view their online catty you can click shop now in the upper right corner and it will direct you to a demo in your areas website so you can view the catty.
In reply to does CTMH have an online catalog. Just go to closetomyheart.com and while their complete catalog I don't think is available if you go to Ideas and Training tab, then click on featured artwork. You can veiw the stamps and how they have created lots of really neat stuff (great for ideas)! If you fill in their form they will send you the name and phone number (website if she has one) of the closest consultant to you. No one will call and hassle you if you fill it out. You will just get the info. (If you are really interested in seeing it online PM me and I will give you my consultants website where she has the catalog online, but out of coutesy to the other CTMH consutants on SCS I don't want to post her name here for everyone. Hope you understand).
