I think both sides should be respected. I left an educational board a while back because if you did not belong to a certain political party and if you dared criticise that party you were considered a troublemaker. I think that ALL opinions deserve respect.

I absolutely LOVE SU! ...the company...the products...the service...the people...the philosophy.

And I love to come here to rub elbows with the rest of you SU lovers!

I seem to have missed the negative posts about SU , but I'd just like to say that there is only ONE thing I don't like (bear with me) about SU... and that's the fact that they have not expanded to England. As soon as they do that, they'll be spot on!

ok My 2 cents worth. As I've been reading all these posts it just reminds me of people always complaing about the TV and all the rotten stuff on. The TV has an off button or differant channel to go to. This sight is so great. There are so many differant areas to go to. So if you don't like a thread don't read it. Remember too many people like to complain about something. If SU is all they have to complain about then they must have a very good life.

I love that SU! won't start carrying products until they are truly quality. Even though I've had problems with my pads sinking in the middle, I have found a solution and they are hands down the best pads out there. I also love that when you buy a punch from them, you know it's not going to be a cheap piece of junk that you'll wish you never bought. All of SU's stuff is top notch!!

Maybe it would help to have an area for product reviews? I haven't posted any complaints about products, but I know that SU can't be the only company with stamping lines that people have complaints about.

FTR, I did not realize when I registered here that it was a board dedicated to Stampin' Up products or even that "this board was created to share ideas and chit chat with others who enjoy SU"...I honestly didn't. Not that it matters, but now I have to know...is this the case? I realize that there are a lot of demos and even SU customers, but isn't this a general stamping site for the most part? Okay, thanks in advance!

I so agree I've come here less because I hate all the bashing going on. I love this sight. But I think we need to take a deep breath count to ten if we don't agree and let it go. I've had my moments I've wanted to say something. But its not worth the hurt it would cause. I say give it a while before you post or respond. Ask does this lift up and edify the others.

Hi Erin-the board was started by a wonderful SU demo and her hard-working husband originally for her downline. They were kind and gracious enough to allow everyone and their cousin access to it
Because of their hard work it has grown to the number 1 stamping spot on the web (literally!)

The website is maintained through the administrators and moderators who are mainly SU demos, and the galleries are set up for SU sets only (although you can upload any card/item using any other company into your own personal gallery all at no charge to you-again thanks to the Noltas! ). That said, the site welcomes ALL stampers and the positive aspects and knowledge of the stamping world they bring to the board.

As far as product reviews-you can alway ask a question about any product or do a search for information, but we will not create any type of product review section.
If anyone has issues with SU products, they are free to contact their demo who will in turn contact SU. SU has a wonderful reputation for customer service as do other home stamping companies.

Please enjoy all the wonderful aspects this site has to offer-it is truly a remarkable place to hang out

*edited for spelling as usual  *

I understand this, but just to be clear, you cannot express dislike for any products at all or just not for SU? Still learning the "ropes"

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE SU! They are absolutely amazing in every way. I can't believe how generous they are with their hostesses AND demos! I don't ever buy from anyone else for two reasons; the first is because I haven't had time to use everything that SU! has to offer and the second is because I hate to drag my kids to the craft/scrapbooking/paper store. I love that I can shop at home right out of my catalog.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE SCS! I am not able to create lots of different ideas on my own, so I come here often to CASE the galleries.

THANK YOU SCS! This place ROCKS! I spend way too much time here!

Gosh I hope that is not how I was understood, as it was not how it was intended when I wrote we would not be creating a product review area and I wrote that you can ask any questions

As I wrote, if you have a question/concern about a product (any product), ask but since I know SU's policies pretty clearly, the best help you will get is from your demo and then SU itself (which is most likely the case with any company-going to the source will net you the fastest results ) Hope that is more clear.

As a new stamper, it was recommended to me go to SCS for some great ideas!! I found that to be very true. What I find is good is that we are (for the most part) talking oranges and oranges. The samples are mostly SU and I appreciate that knowing that I either have the sets or can order them if they strike my fancy. When using another company's stamps, we than can adapt it to the sets that we have!! THANK YOU SCS for being there and I will continue to preview other's postings and continue to use my SU and my wonderful DM!!! You guys are awesome!!!

I absolutely LOVE SU stuff. BUT, I'm also thankful that some bring genuine concerns about product quality to our attention. But it should also be shared with SU! so they can correct it, of course. While I'm not for bashing SU, I'm all for honesty of opinion on their products. They're not perfect. But they're perty close!

SCS is NOT about censorship of particiular topics. This has been obvious to us lately! However, I believe since I am on a site started & maintained by SU demonstrator, that I need to be respectful of that. It's ok to express opinions but in moderation & with proper tone - and that is a trick to master when writing.

What is frustrating to SCS is coming on here day after day to topics like the following:
"What I hate about SU...."
"What I hate about my Demo..."
"What I hate about SU's cardstock..."
"What I hate about SU's packaging...."
"What I hate about the letters 'S' and 'U'....."
and on & on & on.

It would be so sad for Tracy to go to her DH, Daven, someday & say "You know what? This is not what I was looking for in a website for my downline & customers originally. This thing has turned into a monster.....pull the plug!!"

I have only been on this site since this past summer...so not even a year. When I come here, it's kind of like going to someones home as a guest.

They were kind enough to invite me to their home, eat their food and enjoy their company. The last thing I would ever imagine doing is then stand up in front of all their guests and say.. "Wow that dinner sure was awful!!"

I want to extend a deep THANK YOU to all of you who have allowed us to be a guest in your "home" I really love this place.

I COMPLETELY agree with this!!! It's about r-e-s-p-e-c-t. I think it's all too easy to forget about common courtesy when we are faceless and can hide behind a vague username. Don't forget who supports the "home" we are visiting in!

I will make a personal commitment to watch how I phrase things and speak the truth for myself without passing judgement on a company. Isn't that all one person can do???? Change starts from within!!!!

I did not know how this site started out; I am just amazed that people are dedicated and willing to put forth all the work and effort to maintain it. Thanks soooooo much! This is one of my favorite places on the web and I just want to express my appreciation for the wonderful ideas, support and encouragement it offers.
