I follow Beates blog and she stated that she will no longer be stamping. She will be so missed. She has been such an inspiration to me. I have watched her tutorials since I began stamping.

Ohhh, I feel so sad :( but I respect that sometimes we need to move on and do different things. Years ago, I was going to a weekly tole painting lesson (which I did for 10 years) and I started to feel like I didn't want to go and then it became a chore - so I stopped. We might say at one stage, that we can't ever imagine NOT doing a particular craft, but circumstances change and we stop enjoying it - and not even for any particular reason that we can give; maybe our mind gets stale (?) or we don't feel inspired or excited about it anymore.
I have seen quite a few of my favourite card makers stop cardmaking in the past 2 years - and I MISS them terribly - and that being said, I will MISS Beate and have been really inspired by Beate's tutorials and her creativity over the years - but wish her well in her future endeavours.

me 2 I am very sad to see she is leaving. Wish her the best in whatever she endeavors. She will surly be missed. When I started stamping she was my inspiration too! Best wises to her!!!!
Beate- You will be missed. Thank you for being such an inspiration to so many of us. Good luck in your next adventures! I hope it brings you so much happiness and wonderful memories.
She taught so many people, me included, the ins and outs of stamping and the techniques they wanted to learn . When a new product was introduced she was always one of the first people to make a video on how to use it .
I join with everyone and wish her the best !

I too am so sad to our amazing Beate leave this craft. She was a wonderful teacher who always answered any questions. I will miss her tutorials and inspiring works of art. I also wish her the best life has to offer.
If any of you can, please buy something from her blog. I did, and, it felt as if I was saying thank you and goodbye!
I knew Beate was stepping down from her duties here, but didn't realize she's walking away from stamping all together. That's shocking, knowing how creative and skilled she is. If you see this Beate, thank you for all the wonderful sharing of your talents with so many of us through the years. You will be sorely missed. Much happiness to you as you start a new chapter.

ditto... I cannot imagine her NOT stamping. I figured she was just moving on to a new stamping opportunity
She will be missed by many, but now we have a new talented artist to inspire us! Dina, I love your stuff, too!

Does anyone have a link to Beate's blog to share?
Thanks
OOPS - just found it. Thanks Dini.

Kathy: It is without a doubt that this woman has inspired many. She is one of the great ones. How will we be sending her off? Virtual party??? Must be something we all can do. How about it?
Thank you so much for your kind words!!! You made my day. I am sorry I didn't stop by earlier. For the last two weeks I have been selling off my crafting supplies. Everything but a paper cutter and my copics. It was a bit crazy, but my family has their dining room back, which looks very empty without my bookcases and cabinets I might say.
I haven't been feeling like stamping for a while now, so I knew it was best for SCS to step down and let the amazing Dina take over. I am not quite sure what is next in store for me. I will enjoy my last few month with Lucas, who will go off to college (like his older brother did last summer), this summer. It is crazy how fast kids grow up. Rebecca wants to learn to sew, we might do that. I will definitely read more and focus on family.
Thanks again! My time here with SCS was so much fun! I LOVED hanging out here and meeting so many of our members at events.
I wish you well. I admit I can't fathom selling off all your stuff. If you want to stamp again, now you'll have to start all over. I've just seen that happen to so many people. I always tell people... don't sell it all.
Beate, so sad to read that you are leaving stamping behind, but understand the yearning to grasp every moment available to you to spend with family before your kiddos are grown! You will be missed here. . . .
Beate has inspired me again! I am finally making the decision to get rid of most of my stamping supplies. I need the room for my scrapping supplies and while my studio is organized it never looks neat because there is just too much!
Beate has been here longer than I have, she has done amazing work for a lot of years. I figure if a very accomplished stamper can give it all up, then I can and will not be sorry once the stamps are gone.
Thank you Beate for all of your inspiration over the years and even inspired me into letting go.......
Beate, I, too, am sorry to learn of your stepping aside. you've been crafting, creating and making tutorials for such a long time. I can certainly understand your desire to close this chapter and start a newer one, filled with new challenges and passions. Whatever you do or where ever your chapter takes you, enjoy. Best regards, Anne

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your wonderful videos! I think the best way to learn something is by seeing it instead of just reading it. You have given knowledge to many on how much fun paper crafting can be. THANK YOU!!!!!
I was in shock when I saw on Beate's blog she was no longer going to stamp! But I respect her decision as our live are always changing. She has been a great inspiration for me and I've learned a lot from her great tutorials. Hope she decides a few years down the road to do some stamping in a relax mode with no extra pressure of design team duties. Best of luck Beate!
I am saddened to see Beate leaving. I loved her tutorials! So wonderfully explained! I certainly learned a lot!
I am seeing sort of a trend though, and even I have lost a little interest. I love my tools, my papers, and this craft of card making! I am just not so gung-ho as I used to be. I still think hand made cards by crafters are far much better than any commercial card out there! I love the tactile feel of a card that someone took the time and expense to make a card and send it or give it. But I know too -- that times are changing and I can't explain why. Other interests, or more important, family comes first. I find that's where my time is going lately. I still love this craft, and I will always make cards and from time to time scrapbook pages, or altered art. I have noticed though, that this craft is changing, and time will tell what path the craft will take.
I will certainly miss Beate too! I learned a lot from her.
However, she did what most of us have at least considered once if not more.
Her and Joan B dumped everything except a very few things .
For me this hobby has become over whelming. There are so many products and companies competing for my attention, time and money that it could consume my entire life if I allowed it .
