Default Background Stamps

Does anyone have a tip sheet for background stamps? I have seen them for just about everything else.... I am looking for tips on using them and ideas about how to use them.

TIA,
Heather

I loooove background stamps! My upline gave me this tip which is almost foolproof!

Place the stamp on a table and turn the stamp rubber side up. Ink it with the ink pad. Place your cardstock on top of the rubber and place a larger scratch piece of paper over the cardstock. Rub your hand over the scratch piece to ensure your image is fully stamped. Lift off the scratch piece and then the cardstock and, voila! A fully stamped background with no missed spots!

When I demo this at workshops, all the guests feel great that they can stamp like a pro!

I always look for matching BG stamps when I purchase new stamps. I also love wheels for the same reason.

I also love to show scrapbookers how much stamping backgrounds enhances the look of a layout. You could use a background stamp behind a picture on a mat.

have fun!

You can ink and position your background stamps as mentioned but, you can also roll the brayer over it to ensure a nice crisp stamped image.

Technique using BG stamps:

Ink any BG stamp with whatever dye ink you want- rubber side up. Press a solid shaped stamp such as- flower from love without end or bold blossoms into the inked rubber side. Then stamp flower onto paper (you have the pattern from the large BG stamp on the stamp). Gives a new life to some of the sets you may be bored with.

Don't forget the lana (?) butt stamping! Works great!! (if you missed it, sit on the bg stamp to get it evenly stamped) These ladys are great for ideas!
