An Apology to High Hopes
Please Read If You're Upset Over Shipping Issues With High Hopes:
In an earlier thread there were some of us with our panties all in a huge twist over our orders taking so long to arrive from High Hopes. (I was one of the people with knotted underwear:oops: .) Which brings me to my apology...
Here's what happened...
After festering over my order not arriving for several weeks, I finally picked up the phone and called High Hopes.
I spoke with Bethany, who is Tina's daughter. She appologized many times and explained that they have gone from having roughly 3 orders a day to 50-60 orders a day. They have had to move to a larger facility, because of the abrupt increase in business. They do in fact manufacture their own stamps, so it's not just a stock, pack and ship type of operation. They are actually baking those adorable little images that we all love so much into the rubber! Furthermore, they are doing it all with a very minimal staff. She said that they are working literally 24/7 to get caught up on orders, plus this weekend they are unveiling NEW RELEASES!!!
These ladies are truly hard-working and very dedicated, honest people, that has had the mixed blessing of lots of business suddenly. They are QUITE aware of their customer's disappointment over shipping times, and they are trying so hard to make it up and get caught up.
Of course after I hung up the phone I felt like a jerk. A really really BIG jerk. I wanted to post this here becuase I know there are others that feel like I did. Sometimes we fail to see past the end of our ink pads and we think that the mailman is carrying our next breath. But we ARE SCS members and if we weren't loving-sharing-caring people we wouldn't be here, right?
So on my behalf (and anyone else that feels the same), I sincerely apologize to you, High Hopes Stamps. Your product is awesome, You guys are awesome, so hang in there and GOD BLESS YOU!
Hi Lisa, what a nice post. It's nice that you took the time to post this for everyone to see. High Hopes sounds like an awesome company who is just going through some growing pains.
How fortunate that demand for their products has grown in this economy! I bet it took them by surprise to experience such rapid growth! I hope they make it, and yes, thanks for the reminder that there can be a truly valid cause for what may seem like "bad service".
Thank you Lisa for putting this apology here. I am another that has to add my apologies as well I have been waiting for my order to come and instead of thinking of others I was thinking of myself and how I really want those stamps in my hand and not about how they were made and how hard Tina and family are working to get them out and especially with them designing new stuff as well. I would like to send out hugs to Tina and everyone at High Hopes and I would like to say keep up the great work.
So kind of you to post Lisa!! I have been purchasing from High Hopes for about a year now. From the very first card I saw with their images I absolutely fell in LOVE with their stamps. I have had the pleasure of talking with Tina myself and she is such a wonderful person and so enjoyed talking with her!! I am so happy for them that they continue to grow. So many companies are able to ship so quick and get our orders out within a day or so, but I LOVE that High Hopes makes the stamps to order and is so kind to throw in others. They are so very generous and I am very happy to wait!!
High Hopes rocks! Love their stamps! I didn't know they had a new release coming out this weekend, so I am very excited about that!!! Yay!
Although I am always eager to get new goodies, I have found it is worth the wait. Like someone else mentioned, I also very much appreciate the freebies included in my orders; not too many companies do that and they are so generous to boot!
Craftess has a wonderful gallery here on SCS; I love looking at her High Hopes creations (as well as her other creations)---her coloring is fabulous!
I too called yesterday, but I was just checking that they had my address correct. I didn't know about all of this!! Thanks for keeping us informed...they said my order shipped yesterday, so hopefully I will have them to play with soon!!

I don't mind waiting for fun stuff to arrive - anticipation is half the fun!

Lisa, atta girl! It takes a big person (w/unknotted undies) to admit a mistake, let alone take the time to post it.
Because of the previous thread about shipping problems, I was holding off on ordering from High Hopes. Tough thing to do since their stamps are so adorable. Thanks for letting us know the coast is clear and ordering is safe. Now off to their site.
Ah, Lisa, I am so glad you got a chance to talk to Bethany and that you decided to post. Tina and Bethany are both amazing people and are really doing their best to stay caught up with the sudden increase in orders. You will love your stamps when they get to you! (Honestly, the Canadian postal service doesn't help either. No offense to any Canadians out there. We are just a little more spoiled in the US as our postal service seems to be quite a bit quicker most of the time.)
There are a bunch of new stamps releasing tonight and they are super cute! Some of the designers have the stamps and have been doing sneak peeks. There is also a High Hopes blog and we have weekly challenges. If you're interested, stop by and join us in our challenges. New challenges are posted on Sundays. http://highhopesstamps.blogspot.com/
Just do like I do I love their stamps when I place my order I know I will get it at some point and not worry about it. Tina has always been great about responding to my emails though and I know they are very swamped... I love the extra's she always sends too...
I'm glad you posted this because I just LOVE their images, but I've been turned off hearing about the shipping time. I will give it a few weeks for things to calm down and then place an order. Thank you so much for letting us know. I always give my business to those who work for it even if it will cost me a bit more in shipping or whatever else, it's worth it to me.

Glad to hear it! I knew when I ordered that it would take awhile, but I ordered 4 weeks ago and I have seen nothing of my stamps. I politely sent them an email this morning asking for an update, but now that I see this, then I understand.
Ok.. so can someone linky this company so those of us who have no clue can add to their order nightmare and patiently wait for them to come in the mail ?
For those new to the site, you can choose a flag to display the costs in Canadian or American dollars. And the "HOTP" (funny looking hippo) box is where you can type a search item (say "cow") and it'll show all the related stamps. I don't think it's the most intuitive site but I do love their stamps! Also, I don't think the "images" on the website do any justice for the real images. On the website they look kinda blurry and unfinished. But in real life they are nice and clear. Just a few thoughts for those of you who are "High Hopes Newbies".
Aw I just read that she lost her mom and her husband in a battle with cancer.

I just want to say that I received my order today from High Hopes and the wait is well worth it. Not only did they send me the stamps that I ordered but there were several extras included as well, and the really nice thing is that some of the extras were ones that I had on my wish list. I know that we are a society of wanting things now, me included, but every now and then a higher power steps in and lets you know that it is a good thing to learn to wait and you are rewarded for waiting. Thank you again Tina and family/staff for making such wonderful stamps and helping me learn to wait once in a while for my own good.
how long did you ladies wait for your orders to arrive? I ordered around January 20th...almost 5 weeks ago. I had even forgotten about the order until a few weeks ago. I have sent 3 emails, with no response.
Sigh.
It took just over 5 weeks for my order to get to me, but they are so worth the wait and Tina usually send a few extras with your order. I know from what I have read they are really busy right now, and they just released some new stamps at the beginning of the week.
Coming from Canada, I'm used to all my orders taking forever to get here so I wouldn't have noticed anything different. I've heard a lot of good things about HH and this post on their behalf is really nice! Thanks for updating us!
I ordered from them last year, had to have some of their great Christmas images and had great service from them. It took about a month to get them, thanks to Canada Post.
When I placed my order they called to say that the shipping charge was wrong since I had ordered unmounted, they offered to refund the difference or I could pick some more stamps.. of course I said more stamps, anything with snowmen. The package I recieved had my original order plus way more than what I overpaid in shipping in extra stamps. She sent some of the cutest images ever!!!
I will totally be ordering from them again. I know the lag time was soley due to Canada Post, sometimes I think dog sleds would be faster than them.
No apologies from me. It's bad enough to wait weeks and weeks and get the stamps when the season is almost over, but the customer service has changed... actually I haven't found any. I used to be a great customer. But I won't be ordering from them anymore. If I can't even receive a response from the company, they don't deserve my business.

What a nice thing for you to do and say. Sometimes we really do forget about the situation at the other end when ordering stamps. I can be that way, you get all excited about your purchases and then you wait. I have the patience of a gnat. This is a nice reminder.
i can totally appreciate your feelings. It's so frustrating to have to wait for your order.
the longer we wait, the more angry we become. It was great of you to formally acknowledge HH's staff and efforts to make their fulfill their orders. I bet someone has already told them about this thread and think about how delighted they'll be to read what you've written about their dedication to ensure we all receive our orders. Great of you to acknowledge your phone call and susbsequent dismay over having initiated it. Good for you!
