I am considering signing up to be a demo again. It has been almost two years since I stopped selling last time. I don't think that will be an issue - if it will, please let me know.
Are there currently any deals to sign? Should I wait until next month or later?
No, Jenn, you just missed the big signing deal!! During Sale-a-bration, new demos received a free stamp set of their choice and 15% off their starter kit. I don't know of any deals coming up, but right now, you can purchase your starter kit in 3 easy payments.
Yes, the sales from your SU! website do count towards your quota. It's really nice to receive an email from SU! saying that you have received an online order. The only special being offered now is the 3 month payment plan (but you can't sign up online and get this special).
Is August still a good time to sign? They used to have great signing deals for August.
We aren't told this far in advance of specials. I would imagine there will be another special for signing up before the end of this catalog (although, this is just my guess). If you have a demo you work with, I would let her know you are interested and then make sure she tells you about any upcoming signing special so you don't miss out again.
Having had August recruiting specials in the past is unfortunately no guarantee of there being one in the future -- they don't happen regularly, or even every year. If you want to be a demo, just go for it!

One deal that is floating out there, though I don't know how much it helps you on the east coast is that I know attendees to the Seattle regional seminar this last weekend are able to offer $50 off the starter kit to new recruits. The only catch is that the paperwork needs to be mailed in to SU and in their office by May 4th. I think there is one other regional session that was given this offer but I don't remember which one.
In regards to your questions, the downline override structure is a bit complicated but starts out at 2% of your first level downline sales and then start increasing depending on your monthly sales and number of recruits. You receive overrides through your 5th level of downline.
The website is 12.95/mo but when you sign up you get 2 months for free
And I don't think there is a way through your website to do online parties. I think one person would have to collect all the orders and submit them at one time. But they can contact you with the totals and have you submit them as a workshop through the demo ordering system so you can track individual orders without there needing to be an in-home party.
