I would LOVE to drive to CHA but its not possible at this time for me. BUT I hope you all that do go have a BLAST!!!
That's the plan for me!!! My friend and I are flying in from Hawaii. I haven't been on a vacation for almost 5 years and she's a SHM to 3 little ones. We are more than ready to have a blast!!:p

We should have a That Girl marathon! Did she not take a tin lunch box to work, too? Or was that Mary Tyler Moore? Lucy? I get them a bit confused! I loved Hazel, too!
I keep hoping that we'll see something from Nichole on her blog! I so want the Lily of the Valley set, the envelope liner die, the new die that Lisa designed (can't think of the name right now) and possibly the Up Up and Away set and matching dies. Mish's post on the Lily of the Valley pushed me over the edge with wanting that set.

I'm sure Nichole is frantic right about now--but it would be nice to get a word or two about what's going on.
I have to say, I'm surprised, and not surprised, that the site is down.
I've been on the site off and on since yesterday evening. At first, earlier yesterday, it was painfully slow but worked. Then, things were perfectly normal. I added some items to my cart today, cardstock mostly, and felt pretty confident.
BUT... when I first saw that they were going to change over to a new site less than 24 hours before a release, I could only think that it was an absurd decision. I was puzzled for the last month that we didn't see the new site being implemented well in advance of the next release. And if things weren't ready a couple of weeks ahead of time, it would only make sense to hold off until the release was over.
It's baffling really. And I have to agree with Ted -- if I were new to PTI, I would probably be writing them off by now. As a loyal customer for over 2 years, I'm disappointed in how these things are handled.
For the company, and the customers, I hope they can get things moving tonight. For myself, I can wait, and waiting until later in the month or longer to order is something I can get used to.
Besides... PTI is in the eastern time zone, too ~ I never did get why the release has to be at midnight :rolleyes:

Betty, we watched all the same shows. Geez, I haven't thought about Hazel in YEARS!! My sister and I used to watch that all the time after school. I'm glad Hazel wasn't my idol. My life would have turned out very differently. LOL.

Betty, we watched all the same shows. Geez, I haven't thought about Hazel in YEARS!! My sister and I used to watch that all the time after school. I'm glad Hazel wasn't my idol. My life would have turned out very differently. LOL.
I liked Hazel in that she had a voice for a maid...and she spoke up to a man in those days. Amazing that one! I think she was more vocal than the wife about stuff!
I am LOVING the stamps.. so SAD I still cant get online.. I am guessing her posts were scheduled to go up along with this contest.. so that maybe why there is no word.. do you THINK there is any hope we can shop tonite? Course I cant get EVERYTHING since I have no new GC codes... :( I guess that is all back burner for them now with the site problems...
I STILL LOVE YOU PTI>. but HURRY and get fixed.. I got $$ to BURN! HA HA!!!

Just in case there's anyone on here who doesn't read Nichole's blog, here's what she posted earlier about the decision to go ahead with the switch so close to release time:
WHY GO LIVE SO CLOSE TO THE RELEASE?
We were originally slated for a debut on the 10th, but ended up with a few delays. Due to the huge volume of complaints we have had the last few releases regarding a lack of order tracking with our old site, along with other related items that customers have been quite vocal about, we felt it was in the best interest to move forward with the new site. We are very confident that everything will be running smoothly soon and that everyone can enjoy the many benefits and amenities during release night and beyond.
Thank you for your continued patience. We truly appreciate all of you.
I can't imagine how many complaints they had been getting with the old system. They were trying to make us all happy with the new system. Let's just all remember that the PTI people aren't wanting all this frustration to happen to their good customers and wanting-to-be-customers. It has to be cutting into their potential profit, which is really the only reason any business exists.
Can you imagine their frustration level right now...a small internet-only business that customers can't access on the biggest shopping night! Yikes! I'm a forever customer - not going anywhere. I just hope newer customers can stick around to love PTI as much as the rest of us do!
