Is anyone on this forum from north Florida...Jacksonville in particular? I've been trying to get local stampers together but not too many are interested. I've contacted all the SU demo's in the area but none so far interested in getting together. If anyone is out there who'd like to get together, contact me. Let's try to "stamp up" Jacksonville!

Thanks, me too. It seems to be that stamping is not too hot here in Jax. There are 2 scrapping stores and they're pretty busy all the time but the whole stamping thing is sort of not happening a whole lot. Over the past 2 years I've handed out 1-1/2 boxes of business cards. I've gotten about 4 customers from that. My SU website has netted me 3 or 4. That's it! And I bust my rear for business! Oh well. I'm still having fun. Thank goodness for stamping clubs.
I love Tallahassee, by the way. Have visited there a few times. We're going to Thomasville GA for our anniversary next week. Can't wait.
Have a great Friday.

I am from Jacksonville but am temporarily displaced. We will be back in Jacksonville by the end of the year though. We left Jax in '99 and there were a few stamp stores. I worked at a stamp store that switched over to scrapbooking but I understand that store is no longer in business. There was Stampberry Patch in the Beaches area and another store in Orange Park that I used to go to quite a bit. A Small Cleverness is what I think they were called. Scrapbooking is very hot there in Jax. You should try to tap into that aspect of your business. Stamping is very hot down in Tampa from what I remember.
Good luck and I will keep checking this thread, looking for other Jax stampin buddies.
I have a downline group in Gainesville who has monthly meetings. I am sure they would love to have you join them. They are meeting this Saturday at 10am if you would like to come. Please pm me and let me know. There will be 16-20 people there so far.
Well I could have said yes to this a year ago but I moved. If and when I make it back to Jax I will let you know. I agree with you about stamping not being too hot but scrapbooking is and I stocked up on my last visit. Good luck.
Thanks, all who responded. Seems like everyone has the same impression - scrapping is hot and stamping not (yet) in Jax. Well, here's to stamping up Jacksonville!
Have a great weekend all.

I live in Jacksonville on the Westside. My upline is in Gainesville and I am not able to attend alot of their meetings. Would love to get to know others that like to stamp. What side of town do live in? Let me know if you would like to get together.
