Hello! I am seriously intrigued with the concept of Memory Works, and just wanted to know if any of you are consultants. I just have a few questions I'd love answers to. Feel free to post here for others or send me a PM.
1. How do customers pay for product? Is there an online payment option, or does the consultant have to make all payments with their own credit card account?
2. I'd like to link a shopping option to my blog. Is that possible?
3. What is the cost of catalogs for consultants?
4. How well does the company keep product in stock?
5. What are the shipping charges? Do orders get shipped to the customer, or do they get shipped to the consultant?
What an interesting approach! It certainly is affordable to sign on. I think you have great questions and should write to them or call the consultant nearest you!
Although it's kind of hard to view the catalog online, it looks like it has a lot for scrapbooking. Probably the most alluring aspect is one-stop-shopping! I love the lines they carry and it's so often a pain to have to shop multiple stores to find the ones I want. The prices look good too - I honestly thought that they were going to be higher than regular stores. Be sure to let me know if you sign up .
I'm a Memory-works consultant, entered into for the discount side (hobbY).
I have a web site where customers can go and shop. They pay directly on my web site and the products are shipped directly to them. MW is a home based party plan for hostesses to earn hostess credits as well.
I Have ordered several times my self and the products are shipped fast. I've never had a problem. The communication from the MW company is great. Catalogs are released bi-annually, with updates that are e-mailed to you in a PDF document so you can print them. The catty is that way as well. you can download and save it, then print it your self.
The sign up cost is minimal and no monthly 'quota'....
*It's not a multi-level marketing company. No upline, no downline, just me minding my own business.
*$39.95 start up. Cheap!
*No quarterly minimums! HOORAY! To stay active, they require a consultant to spend $75 per year. (Yeah, I did twice that amount just this week! LOL)
*I can link the website to my blog, thus generating some potential income!
*No brand loyalty! They carry all the brands I love and use anyway! Basic Grey, Cosmo Cricket, Crate Paper, Tim Holtz, Unity, My Mind's Eye, and so many more!
*Prices in the catalog are good, especially when I consider that area stores never have what I want in stock. It's one stop shopping!
I just saw this thread too. I tried clicking on Maryrose's link, but it's not coming up. I don't know if she is still a consultant. Any one else out there?
I am not a demo but have seen their products--know a local one here. They are all very quality products--nice coordination, etc. WOW, that is really affordable to join!
I have not been able to see as much of a online present as other direct sales companies. The products themselves are fantastic, but I was hoping to get more information from a MW consultant as well.
I have been a Memory Works consultant for several years.
I joined for the discount and they carry the paper products I love!
They are the creators of Simple Stories and Snap paper lines
These are VERY popular and sometimes sell out, but they are very quick to restock.
We just received an email there will be no more printed catalogs, but they will continue to have the pdf files.
We have a Consultant community site, with forum, monthly challenges, and gallery.

Hello! I dropped the website some time back. I'm pretty sure I'm still considered a demo, but I haven't done anything with this in quite some time.
I LOVE Simple Stories, and it's probably the big reason I signed on! I plan on placing an order again soon...the envelope punch board from We R Memory Keepers, Mister Hueys, Distress Stains and inks, and of course, all of the new lines that will debut soon.
Sorry, I meant thank you So much for the info. I'm so glad they are adding stamps!. If I m not mistaken, this is the one thing missing from their catalogs?. Glad to hear that. Thanks again!
Unfortunately, they won't be doing business anywhere after December. They just announced that the consultant part of their business is closing, but they will be moving forward with their Simple Stories line and putting all their efforts into that. I feel bad for their consultants, who are now out of a job/business.
Guess I don't have to feel left out now. I did wonder why anyone would buy from a consultant when it is so cheap to sign up and not have to worry about quotas. Seemed more like a buying club.
I was really surprised when I read about it on Facebook from Scrapbook Update recently, Scrapjanny! I had not even heard of Memory Works until Mary Rose brought it up here.
Oh no, one of my best friends is a MW consultant. I guess I shouldn't feel too badly for her, though, as she stopped promoting it when the backorders got so bad. (Her statement, not mine.)

Will they not be making the envelope and bag/box boards anymore?
