I have turned into a cynic. The Pantone site shows a nice pink that will probably kill off Melon Mambo. I have learned to keep my old colors and stop fretting about retiring, new, etc. I think SU is due for another of their color line revamping/retiring colors.
Like Cindy, I rarely get rid of my retiring colors. I'm still excited to see the new colors. I do think I'm finally ready to get rid of some of the Bold Brights that retired several years ago! I'm running out of space for things!
I love this time of year! I am excited to see the new IC, too. I keep all my retired ink pad colors. For one thing, I still use them. For another, there have been several new colors that were so close to retired colors that I bought the ink refill for the new color and used it on the old color pad (Soft Suede for Close to Cocoa and Mint Macaron for Sage Shadow come to mind). I always buy a set of markers of the new IC, though, and a variety pack of cardstock.
cnsteel ~ I'm with you. I keep all my old inkpads, except I did give away Rocket Red.:-)
I like your idea of new color ink refill for an old color, not the same but close enough. Clever!
When the new catalog comes out with the new In-Colors, I buy the markers set and a variety pack of cardstock. Then I can play with the new colors to see if i like any of them enough to buy the inkpad. Also, I can participate in the challenges a little easier. It's fun to try out new colors. Can't wait to see what the new ones will be!

I also keep in-colors CS and pads. I like or love them...that's why I buy them! I just stocked up on Blackberry bliss-4packs and a re inker. I love that color! I haven't liked this year's new colors (oh I do like Tip Top Toupe) and I only like B Bliss from last year.
I loved all the colors that retired last year! Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar and the rest of the gang! I bought the big pack of dsp that went with those colors, so I'm set for life.
I like when the new colors come out. I usually only buy one or two. I really have plenty of colors!
I didn't buy the ink pad for Crisp Cantaloup and I'm hoping my CC re inker will work when my Groovy Guava dries up. Groovy Guava ink worked fine with CC card stock! GG is from wayyyyyyy back!

I'm with the majority! Love lots of the old, still excited about the new! Many are 'close enough' for me with ink and refills are the way to go Bring it on haha!
Me, too! I would also like to know what is retiring - might be something I just have to have!!
Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow,Tangelo Twist are retiring, although several of the SU blogs talk about colors possibly "being refreshed, and coming back". Several months back there was a thread about SU needing a new blue, so wonder if that's on the horizon.

I will miss these in colors more than the set that's sticking around. Meadow was a great Christmas color. I'll miss the orange less than the rest. I will forever mourn the group with costal cabana though. Every single one of those best come back some time!
Any online sightings yet? With convention this week, I assume SU has shown the new in-colors to demos by now.
The new in-colors are..... go to link below, scroll past the retiring stuff and you will see the new in colors, comparisons and other stuff from upcoming cattie.
I was excited to see the Flamingo color. From the online photo, it looks to me like it will be a very close match to the old Rose Romance. I have long awaited finding that color again! Can hardly contain my excitement as I wait to see it!
Love the colors, but am so excited over the multi-step bear!

Thanks for sharing the colors and products! That baby bear stamp set has my name all over it! Hope there is a coordinating die! The creativity amazes me.

Be on the look out for display samples now. We could share starting yesterday. I had the stinky old colors (LOL) but many of my friends had the new ones and made some amazing stuff!
I was just trolling around Youtube and a came across some videos featuring the new Stampin Up colors. Peekaboo Peach, Sugar Plum, Emerald Envy, Dapper Denim, and Flirty Flamingo which I think looks a lot like the past color Rose Romance.
Not loving the colours. As usual it will take using them at a card class to make me decide I need a couple of them. They look so like what has come and gone in the past. But really, it's pretty hard to find anything new under the sun after awhile. To quote Ecclastiastes

We could start sharing stuff on Monday so be on the lookout for new things all over the place! I have started blogging my display samples I made. THere's a lot on Instagram and FB if you search #onstage2016
I agree that the new in colors resemble colors we've had previously, but they're colors that I really liked so I'm excited. I'm especially intrigued by the Denim Blue and the emerald green because those are colors that we've been without for a while now.
I'm also interested in some of the stamp sets I saw on that blog. Really looking forward to the new catalog.
I would just like to know what's being carried over from the spring occasions catalog, I just haven't been able to make up my mind about a couple of sets in there.

Go to SU online store, at least that's easier for me than the printed list, Many Bundles are retiring but the individual stamp set and dies/punch that go with them are not, in other words with the new cattie you would be losing the 15% bundle discount. HTH
I wish SU would add a really nice baby pink. Something that stamps dark enough to see well (unlike some pinks that seem watered down) but is not a muted (rose) or neon (shocking) pink.
As for the bear, he looks a bit like me! Okay, that's not me in my avtar. It's a likeness of my bear, Benjamin, who, unlike the bear in my avatar, rarely runs around nekkid. I already have two teddy bear stamps, but I might have to add this new Baby Bear to my collection.

There hasn't been a nice light pink since Pink Pirouette... as well as Pretty in Pink. They pair well together. I'm hoarding what I have left in hopes that they bring at least one of them back.

There shouldn't be any links as the catalog shouldn't be online until June 1. It's probably out there but it's not supposed to be. Just wanted you to know that SU doesn't have it out yet. There may be pictures from On Stage as baby bear was featured in some stamping presentations!
I like them a lot. One looks like it might be a richer pale plum (one of my all time favs). The emerald green and the denim are nice too. Not sure about one that looks like a pale peach parfait and the other is a sort of generic pink. Hard to tell the colors online versus real life.
