I was looking at the new catalog and noticed that you could only buy the stampin' spots by color family only. Is that correct? Can you not buy them individually?
Thanks for all the replies. Now I'm bummed because I want the label punch set but I also want all the spots in all color families so I will end up with two of some spots. That's already happened to me with the tag punch set and I was hoping to avoid it this time. :(
Somewhere between the 1999-2000 and 2003-2004 catalogs (my years without a demo) SU discontinued selling the spots individually. I know I was kind of bummed about it since I would buy a spot if I wasn't sure I would like the color. But I have to admit I do like the little boxes the spots come in. So much easier to tote around and I don't really mind having extras.
I had that same thought when I got last year's tag punch set. I just decided that they will make nice little additions to the "last minute gift box" that I like to keep on hand. They are super to send in to a teacher, maybe, or with a RAK to a little kid.
I have all the spots and the Tag Punch box and the new Designer Label Punch Box. It doesn't bother me at all that I now have 6 extra spots - they're great for gifts w/ a stamp or 2 and some CS and ribbon!!
I too used mine for gifts. I have the full size pads and thought I would use the stamp spots, alas it is not so, so I am going to give the spots I have with an extra tag set to a brand new stamper so she can see just how great the colors are.

btw, one other thing you can do is to buy the reinker, and buy some uninked spots and make your own spots in the colors you want. I know many are doing that for the *in* colors.

I didn't know that you could buy the spots uninked. Is that through SU?
