Has anyone tried this? Instead of using the acrylic frame as a Post-It holder that stands on a desk, I turned it over so that the little 'lip' (stand) that sticks out is facing outwards (with the 'lip' at the bottom end, not the top), then gently heated the bended part with my heat gun and bent it upwards slightly. Decorate the 'inside' as you would the desk design one, put a strip of magnetic tape on the back, glue a Post-It note pad (or other type of small note pad) to the front, and use the upturned 'lip' at the bottom to hold a pen.
Voila ... a fridge magnet note pad!
Hope this makes sense? Sorry I can't post a pic as DH is away and has the digital camera with him, and it wouldn't scan properly.
I'm going to make a few of these for gifts this Christmas.
(I apologise if this idea has already been posted, but I haven't seen it anywhere before.)

I think I know what you mean, but hoping you are able to post a pic when you have a chance. I like the idea of curling up that lip to hold a pen - I'll have to give that a try.
That is a great idea! I bought a bunch of these at Hobby Lobby in the VBS 10 packs for around $2 each on closeout in the 5x7 size and that is a perfect use of them. I just pulled one out and tried the technique with the heat gun and it only takes a couple of minutes to get it heated and "bent upward". I can't wait to decorate this!
Sorry for the hi-jack, but Tilly, I just wanted to compliment you on the designs you had recently featured in Taken Ten--I thought they were just darling, and it was so much fun to see a whole layout like that featuring your designs!

Thank you for the compliments Julie. Wow, you've made my day! When I grow up I want to make cards like you do! LOL You're such an inspiration.
Love
Tilly
