Default Be advised of Simon Says Stamp Kits

I purchased a recent Simon Says Stamp kit. Much to my disappointment the kit came with a mini Tim Holtz embossing pad rather than the full sized Simon Says Stamp pad that was advertised. I wrote to customer service and was told I could return the kit, at my expense and the item I received had the exact same purpose and properties as what had purchased. I explained that I understood substitutions, but the value should have remained equal. I think they have now stopped responding to me. I just wanted to let everyone to know that if you purchase from this company you may or may not receive what you purchased, and they make no apologies or adjustments. I am feeling ripped off and I hope this does not happen to anyone else.

I am happy they made it right. I was a little sad to return the kit. I really hope they don't do this same thing to other people. It will be a little difficult moving forward to trust kit purchases. Hopefully they will always substitute items with comparable value from now on, as it really is not ethical to sell kits and then reduce the value of some of the kits.

Default Update

Thanks for the update, I also received the Tim Holtz cube as a substitute and was so disappointed in the size difference and I hope they will also exchange. I have been getting these kits for over one year now and this is a first. Will let you know if I will receive a fair response
UPDATE:
I received an email from Simon Says Stamp and they are sending me a full size replacement. Great customer service!

I am sorry to hear you had the same problem. I wondered if this one kit was an exception or if this was a common practice. I also wondered if I was the only one this happened to, or if others received the same smaller cube.
It is fine with me if they make substitutions that have the same value, but it is not ok if they substitute for a lesser amount. SSS is working to fix my problem, but I did send my kit back and now they sent me the correct size pad. I will either have them charge my account for the pad, or send it back.
I was never looking for some special treatment, only the fair kit value. I am trying to trust them again, because I really do think their kits are great. Please let us know how your experience turns out.
