Default advise on my christmas card Please

Of course it did not turn out as I visioned it would. I love this santa stamp from Whipper Snapper. And the brick background from Cornish Heritage Farm I thought would go perfect. It took me 32 minutes to color in 3 santa images. Not including cutting out sant, cutting card stock and background. Something is missing and I can't figure out what to do. Can some of you talented ladies help me out a little with my card? Please, Please, I would so much appreciate it.
Thank you,
Leslie

I think the idea is very cute! You could leave the Santa in a rectangle of white cs and color him quickly with pastels or watercolor pencils. That way you wouldn't have to cut him out. It wouldn't be as bright, though. Then, mount the white rectangle on black and mount it in the center of the card. You could add some ribbon around the card either under Santa or up at the crease of the card (assuming it's a vertical card). I would also stamp a saying at the bottom, under the image. HTH! Good luck!

what about doing a border around him? Like a thin rectangle border. You could play with that.....maybe add some embellishment to it. Or cut some stars out and put them on the border??

It's really cute!!

I think he needs to be grounded somehow........right now he looks as though he is just floating on the wall of bricks..........

I would stamp the bricks to look like a chimney and have Santa peeking out the top of it. I would add a sentiment somewhere too. They are darling stamps though. Good luck!!

Definitely grounding. How about gifts around his feet and side or snow under his feet. Then a sentiment: Ho, ho ho over his head area.
