Default Adhesive Removal

I am converting my wood collection to unmounted. I’m letting the stamps sit in the freezer for a good bit of time before removing the rubber. The blocks that I sprayed with clear sealer (I like clean blocks 😂) don’t pull up nicely. Any ideas appreciated. I’ve tried mineral spirits and alcohol. TIA!

My "go to" for removing any kind of gunk is always Avon Skin So Soft. Drip a little on and rub it around, maybe let it set for a few minutes, then scrape the residue off (perhaps with a Pampered Chef pan scraper?). Repeat as needed. I know, a lot of people will say something like Goo Gone, but I find so many uses for the Skin So Soft that I don't need to buy other stuff. Also, it last practically forever, since you use so little at a time. Safe for your skin, too.

I use that square yellow adhesive eraser. It helps me get stuff off the backs of my rubber stamps.

I put mine in the microwave for 5 sec bursts to get it off the wood...but that picture is my dread. Seems to happen with the older wood stamps. I have almost rubbed the skin off my thumb (do I even have a fingerprint anymore? LOL) rubbing that stuff off rubber by hand. You can if you start at the edge. I have goo gone in the house.

Avon...I remember years ago being told in the garden to use skin so soft to keep bugs away. lol. It did not work for me, but other people swore by it. Multi-purpose product!

I am intrigued by the idea of an eraser though! cool! There are so many of them though...can we get a link to it please?

I use the hardish adhesive remover as well...It breaks the hold and it then rolls it up...sometimes just breaking the "skin" will allow peeling of larger pieces sometimes not...I am still growing skin back from when I decided to unmount all my wooden stamps...LOL! but freezer and elbow grease won most of the time....

I'm guessing she meant this kind:
https://www.amazon.com/Residue-Clean...s%2C187&sr=8-6

I've never used it to remove adhesive from rubber, but it's fantastic for removing shiny adhesive mistakes without damaging the cardstock underneath.

Yes, that's the kind I meant; adhesive removing eraser. They sell them in all different brands and in lots of places. You have to keep rubbing it across them, but it saves your thumbs!

Acetone is my preference. No Avon here.
