Hi everyone. Hope you all had a happy Gobble, Gobble. Me...yup. I did, but I am saying...Oink, Oink, after all I ate instead of gobble gobble.
Ok. on to the serious stuff....LOL! I am putting my cards together. My card front is embossed with a cb folder...snowflakes. When I try to put my stamped image on, (using scorpal adhesive tape), they are coming off. So, I tried, glue glider, nope...didn't work. So I tried Martha Stewart adhesive...nope. I also tried my Scotch ATG 3m adhesive. Nope...didn't hold either.
I can't be the only one with this problem. Would love some feedback on this.
Thanks all.
Have a great weekend.
Paula

When I cuttlebug anything I always use Scotch double sided tape to hold it together. that seems to work better for me then anything else. I think since its a bit thicker then any of those others is why it works.
To get a cuttlebugged front to stick, I use my Zip Dry paper glue - Tombo mono multi works well too. The liquid glues seem to work better at attaching bumpy pieces.
My favorite all time go-to glue is the Tombo Mono-Multi liquid glue with the green top. It adheres so well-- especially for textured pieces like the cuttlebug embossed sheets. I found some Christmas cards from last year, where I used some kind of tape runner and they were falling off! That wasn't fun to find! So I adhered them again with the Tombo Mono-Multi and they are as good as new! I will take my tape runners to swaps for ease and speed, but for crafting at home, the Mono-Multi is my favorite!
Another for Tombow mono and my all time stick to anything is Beacons 3 in 1 Advanced. It's stringy but hold everything. It's similar to ZipDry but less expensive and Beacons makes ZipDry. I get my Beacons's at Michaels.
I always use Scor-Tape to assemble my cards. When I'm attaching an embossed image to a flat piece of cardstock, I use Scor-Tape around all four edges and at least one strip down the middle. Maybe you just need to use more tape to get them to stay together.
Gotta agree with the liquid glues - even Crystal Effects if you have it. But here's another trick that works . . . Staple the embossed piece and cover your staple with ribbon or some kind of embellishment.
I use my ATG as well as glue dots. I only use glue dots if the embossed folder part isn't sticking very well. Sometimes I have this problem if the folder has more a detailed front. When I do use my glue dots I try to place them on a nonembossed part.
I just made a boat load of Christmas cards with an embossed layer. I used my ATG and they're holding up great. I'm even adhering the embossed layer to a somewhat slick shimmer paper.
I've also used the double sided Scotch tape and that's held up great. I haven't tried the liquid glues yet, but thanks for all the tips. If I ever get a really stubborn one, I'll pull out the big guns and use liquid adhesive.

Ditto on the Mono Multi glue and ThAnKs for the info on the Beacons....will have to try that. :o
