Okay, I'm back and I'm over it. Back to the original post. I did not mean that the OP of the other thread has something wrong with her BUT I do know that it took me a LONG time to figure out how to stamp correctly with a pad that has a dip in the middle. Please do not insinuate that you know what my intentions were on my last post because obviously it was worded wrong. I did mean it light and if you knew me, you would know that. A post is so hard because the tone of it is often taken wrong. That is why I lightened it up with smilies. I think for someone to intentionally point out what they think someone "meant" is just as rude. There's my smilie!
I don't think Robyn was intentionally "ridiculing" anyone. There are those who like the pads, and those who don't. If people are going to post a complaint about a product, they have to expect some sort of rebuttal from the fans of said product.
Let's not let this thread go the wrong direction.....
I agree. I didn't read Robyn's post as she was making fun of someone's abilities to use a product. She's merely saying someone's technique might lead to premature wear on the pad, that's all.

No problem. It's probably just my hormones. This baby will be here in the next two weeks and I am just all over the place! I truly did not mean it the wrong way. I am not one to say sarcastic comments to hurt others. If I say anything that way it is purely for a little giggle and to lighten it up.

I SO agree - it's rare when threads resolve themselves but it's way way better when ppl "make up" - makes for a happier day (and a happier forum ;))

Yes, my time is close at hand and may be even closer. I've been in L & D two times already and have been contracting all day. Another reason I shouldn't post on boards. Not really sure if it's the pain talking or me!! Can't remember if you are having a boy or girl with this one?? Mine is another boy.

I hate my regular levels of hormonal flux; can't imagine how you deal with the pregancy ones so well! You are right that tone is hard to convey in writing -- thank you for clarifying your original intention!
Alright I found it ... I thought it was an interesting thread and the word boycott didn't really phase me, but I think your sentiment Joan is very reasonable.
Well said!!! Just because there's a bandwagon out there talking about a particular item doesn't mean you have to get on the wagon yourself, it's not just a product, there's someone behind the product.

just kidding with you! But on more than one occassion I have found myself buying stuff cuz SCS members recommend it.... I could make a list but that would be incriminating myself! tee hee

I think the OP just meant that she isn't going to buy the products because she didn't like them. She didn't tell anyone else not to buy them, and she certainly didn't suggest that anyone join a picket line in front of SU headquarters. And even if she were, I'm pretty sure we are all capable of thinking for ourselves and making our own decisions.
Thank you Joan for your post. As a business owner, I would hope that if I ever did anything wrong to a customer or sold them a product that wasn't working for them, that they would give me the chance to make it right. I always would do my best to make the customer happy.
If someone really tried to start a "boycott" of my product because they didn't like it, I would feel so bad.
I have purchased things that I don't care much for. But that is my just my opinion. I'm sure others have loved those products.
Okay, to lighten the mood- I remember a couple of my ex-boyfriends from the past. I'm glad they didn't start a boycott against me or maybe my hubby wouldn't have "tried" me! LOL, Silly, I know.

I dislike boycotts in general because 99% of them are based on incorrect or downright malicious information. People get an email, get all hot under the collar about it, and send it on to others without looking into the validity of the claim. I find them hateful and bothersome. Businesses and people have been caused great harm for no valid reason.

I do believe that we are all are entitled to our own opinion. But like Joan B said at first I also believe that we can make or break a product. I just feel that we should "think before we speak". It can make a big difference.
