800 Valentines for troops in Iraq UPDATE
I'm sorry it has taken me so long to bring you up to date on how this went. On January 8th, we held our event and with the help of several SCS's we went over our goal and had a total of 900 valentines ready to send. The customer, a wonderful lady and a pillar of strength whom we now call friend had a wonderful idea and we are amazed by her joy in wanting to do this project. However, we are now asking you to include her in your prayers. On Monday, January 10, her husband was critically injured in a roadside bomb blast in Baghad. He has been through numerous surgeries and is still in guarded condition. This morning during yet another surgery, the doctors finally had to result in amputating his leg. Although I have not met Daniel her husband, I feel like I have a personal interest in him. I would like to ask everyone to please include him in your thoughts and prayers, so he may return to his normal life. I would like to thank you all again for your support with our Valentine quest. I will update you when we hear back from the soldiers that recieved the valentines and what their families thought of them.
Thanks again for everything.
