I have a question on the 3x3 cards. I see quite a bit of them in the gallery and most swaps seem to have a spot for them. Now I know a dummy, but what do you use them for? I know you can't mail them, so do you just use them like in a gift bag?
They are the perfect size to add to a gift. I have some customers that need little notes for thanking coworkers, clients etc. Teachers can use this size card since they hand out "thank you's".
Marco's Paper also carries 3x3 envelopes. I make my own using patterned paper from those giant slabs that I stocked up on because apparently I was convinced the scrapbooking companies were never going to make PP again. :P There are printable templates online; I just use my Enveloper board and make up batches at a time.
I LOVE 3X3 cards. I use them a lot with gifts and for including a little note when I'm returning something to someone or stuff like that. I buy the SU envelopes. They also make the cutest gift sets.
Thanks for the answers. Maybe I will have to add a pack of these envelopes to my next order, I don't do well making them. I would like to make my son's teacher a set of cards.
This really is a great size for a quick thank you, especially in the office setting. Sometimes something bigger just seems to formal. They are great for good pick-me-up cards for someone who misses home or said goodbye to a loved one, but nothing heavy like a loss KWIM. I am always looking for this style of card and never seem to have any on hand. i usually sit down on a Sunday afternoon and go through my favorite PP scraps and can put together some really cute ones. I also use the clear envelopes as a special touch. Mine are usually 2x3 because I can get this size clear envelope (50) at Michaels for 3.00 and then with a coupon? Need I say more:-D .
